Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavored souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.

Dear Alison L, Thank you for taking the time to leave us some feedback following your recent stay with us. I apologize that you were disturbed by some external noise but we thank you for informing the team. Due to our central location we do have a lot of neighboring bars around us. We have recently had all of our rooms installed with triple glazing and we do work closely with the local police and council to monitor the noise. I am pleased to see that you did enjoy the rest of your stay and we hope to welcome you back again in the future. Many thank, Devon

This hotel is brilliant, walking distance to the sights, shops and restaurants. Rooms are clean and comfy, a bit of noise at chucking out time, from a few bars, but nothing to bad. Breakfast was lovely, loads to choose from at the buffet and able to order your eggs as you like
