Ok, the rooms are fine - we booked a room with a double and sofa bed, unfortunately the room was so small, the sofa bed had to be left half folded up for our entry. We knew this would be a problem navigating during the nightz so requested to move. We were then moved to a very large 3 single bed room, which did us just fine. Food, again....OK. nothing to write home about. What saves this hotel though, is the outstanding service from staff who, like most of the Country are under immense pressure due to the impact of Covid. Staff were so professional, friendly and helpful, and I felt it would be a huge diservice to them to mark the hotel down for the first 2 points. I sincerely hope senior Management are aware what a brilliant team they have.

Handy for the shopping outlet and Britannia. Large car park. Sadly that is one of the good points about this hotel. The hotel and room was very clean the reception staff were pleasant. The room was adequate and as before clean unfortunately the remote control for the TV didn't work but after calling reception the batteries were quickly replaced. We decided to have dinner in the hotel as we hadn't explored the area but we did look on line for restaurant after discussing this and again not knowing the area would eat in the hotel. We should have realised there was a problem when we were told by the receptionist while checking in there were NO EGGS and if we wanted breakfast to complete a form the night before for sausage or bacon rolls alternatively have continental eg cereal. We ordered drinks at the bar and were served by a young man who also took our order for food 2 x chicjen burger and chips. We waited 45 mins or more for this and when it arrived it was NOT EATABLE the chicken was not cooked it was slimy rubbery and tough. How could a chef or cook not see this and then send it out for consumption. I went to the bar to explain that the food was unacceptable and I wasn't paying £26.00 for chips The young girl deducted the food from our bill. Holiday Inn Express slow down and cook your food before serving. When I went to pay for the drinks I was served by another lady who abruptly told me WE DON'T TAKE CASH. Would it not be advisable to have a sign in reception saying this not everyone uses cards. We left the hotel in the morning settling our bill for parking without breakfast our own choice. I'm sorry Holiday Inn Express only 1 point we won't be back.

Perfect location for a quiet holiday hideout, room ambience is of cuddling cozy excellence The Front Desk is very responsive & hospitable, the room amenities are very prized & cleanliness / hygiene is Grade 1, Breakfast though limited but well served. Luggage room facility with late check out extended with a smile. Perfect siesta place for a much needed break.

One of the worse hotels I've stayed in for years. Room was freezing cold despite heat being turned up to 25c. Breakfast was a shambles. No clean plates, knives or forks. Dirty plates everywhere. Absolutely no social distancing or mask wearing. Will not return.
