Very good hotel would visit again. A Vending Machine could be made available for Drinks and snacks also drinking water. Probably not important but I think most hotels Should provide a choice between sea salt and ordinary salt personally I don't like sea salt.

We went in February 2017. The hotel offered very good views of the city centre including Edinburgh Waverley station and the New Town. The service was brilliant. The breakfast was brilliant. I'd really recommend staying here as it is a stone's throw from all the main attractions in Edinburgh.

Excellent location and great value for money. We were able to leave our luggage as we arrived before check in time. Nothing was too much trouble. Beds super comfy with great quality bedding. A great stay!

From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by the friendly staff at reception. We had a few questions to ask, and they were very knowledgeable on what to see etc. Our room was a little disappointing, it was called a `Superior Room' , though other family members had the standard room - and there was no difference in furniture...

Excellent location, polite and efficient staff and a really good breakfast. Nice and clean with fresh towels every day. Had a great time, two minutes from the railway station and on the door step of the Royal Mile.

I use Jury's Inns around the UK for business purposes and am familiar with the service to expect. This hotel has changed little in the 3 years since my last visit. I can't fault the friendly and helpful staff but the hotel need a refresh 3 years ago and although clean it is now in serious need of redecoration. Also...

Staying in Old Town

Neighborhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavored souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
