Booked a superior suite for my fiancé’s birthday, a little bit of posh for her 35th. Edinburgh was incredible, unfortunately the hotel room was in a very bad state. We have stayed in a few Jury’s in the past and they have all been a good standard of room, friendly staff and a really relaxed atmosphere. The stay at the Edinburgh branch was no where near the same level of cleanliness or class of the other hotels. The room was dirty, carpet stained, coffee spills all over the desk/tv unit and not cleaned. Holes in the bathroom wall were patched with silicone, the bathroom was tidy but very dirty, bedding was comfortable and half a good nights sleep. …
Poor all round, room was clean but that was about the height of it. Old fixings and furniture. There is definitely a need to upgrade the whole operation. Amazing location however ruined by the drudgery of the room. Bathroom was awful.
Air-conditioning is a must. I stayed in a room during a daytime, which was hot and I did not feel comfortable. It became humid in a rainy day. Amenity is also a must. I was very surprised to see no tooth brush and paste.
The hotel is aligned with the "price/performance" and is strategic from a tourist-logistic (two steps from Royal mile and the Railway Station). Good services and friendly staff. Good sleeping and general comforts.
We have a comfortable night at juries inn, room was big, old and no air con. View of new town from our room. Good breakfast. Very convenient to the train station. Everything seems to be provided. The location was down near the railline, so more stairs to get to old area
