A few oft colleagues stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. They were amazed not just by the rooms and the hotel but the fact it was so well placed and so well priced as well. Previously they've stayed elsewhere and the comment around the hotel was how friendly and polite the staff were. They would all recommend to stay...

This is a great property in the heart of Edinburgh Scotland. Everyone makes you feel so welcome and the facilities are exceptional. Our suite was fantastic with the most up to date electronics and modern furnishing. For sure about any other hotel in Scotland. If in Edinburgh this is the place to stay.

I've never felt the need to leave a review before but the service and care received this weekend at the Sheraton definitely warrants one. The hotel itself is lovely and the twin bedded room I booked was great. We had a issue with one element of the room and this could have been a major complaint but.... (and this is...

The Sheraton Grand in Edinburgh is a top notch hotel. Very comfortable, and very good food. It's the help that really sets it apart though. From early check in, to helpful people answering questions. The wait staff at Square One was especially cheerful. Everyone here really seems pleased to see you and help you.

Good location in Edinburgh. They have excellent service. Will definitely stay again. The club is convenient. The staff courteous. I stayed before and after my trip to Skye and left my baggage in the hotel for the trip.

The hotel is really close to Princess street, about a 5 minutes walk. Check in was very quick. Hotel was very clean, beautifully decorated and staff were wonderful. Room was good size, mostly mirrors and glass, with excellent furnishings and a very comfy bed! Room service breakfast was amazing and highly appreciated after a night out!

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
Prevailing winds meant that most cities that grew in industrial Britain had their most desirable neighborhoods to the west – upwind of factory fumes. Edinburgh was no exception, with its wealthiest citizens settling in its West End and leaving behind grand Georgian townhouses, private gardens and genteel crescents. These backstreets remain as dignified and sleepy as ever, and most of the action here lies along the district’s busy main roads. Lothian Road connects to southern Edinburgh and harbors a vague entertainment district: three theaters and the city’s main indie cinema. All attract a select crowd, the sort who appreciate the Saturday Edinburgh’s Farmers’ Market around the corner. The West End’s other great thoroughfare, Shandwick Place, is dominated by trams trundling out to the suburbs and airport, and shoppers picking up last-minute items before hopping aboard.
