We stayed here for four nights at the beginning of October. We chose it because it had excellent reviews and it did not disappoint. Hilary was a lovely host and nothing was too much trouble. The room was warm, comfortable and we had everything we could possibly need. The breakfasts were amazing, I wish my poached eggs were up to...

Hilary has just taken over this beautiful guest house. She is very organised and aims to make her guests have a perfect stay. The breakfasts are amazing and tailor made by Hilary and Anna. The rooms are very comfortable and the location is great. My advice if you have a car, is park in St James carpark. This is very...

I've stayed in more than a dozen guest houses in this city and though some were good enough, there was always something amiss. Not so here! This is, in my opinion, by far the nicest and best run guest house actually in either Edinburgh or Glasgow. It's a classic older house, but there is no musty feeling of age inside....

We stayed 4 nights with Sue in her beautiful B&B. Everything was just top notch. Room was large and renovated. Common areas so appealing and comfortable. Yummy room snacks and outstanding breakfasts. Sue was so helpful with any questions or concerns about getting around Edinburgh. When we left, I felt like we were leaving a friend. Highly recommend staying here...

On July 24 and 25 I stayed at Six Brunton Place before taking part in a 6 day bus tour to The Outer Hebrides. The host, Sue, was wonderful and really made you feel at home in her immaculately clean and comfortable Guest House. A friend and I arrived early in the morning while she was serving delicious breakfast to...

Wish we had planned to stay longer in Edinburgh. The location, the attention to detail, the breakfast, everything was nearly the best we've ever experienced. Examples * vegetarian version of full Scottish breakfast - including haggis * endless refills on fruit. This included several fresh berries, melon, and mango. * guidance and help with reservations for dinners and attractions. Sue...

This is one of the nicest B&B's we have stayed at. Sue was a wonderful, charming and v v generous host. The afternoon we arrived she had coffee laid out with cake. The rooms were charming and very well appointed. The breakfast superlative. I cannot talk about it enough!! The minute you took a helping it was replenished! So much...

We arrived to a genuine warm welcome from Sue who helped with our cases, ensured we were familiarized with our room and served us delicious flapjacks, cake and tea. The...

We stayed here, in the Playfair room, for a couple of nights over the weekend. The location is around a 15-20 minute walk to the old town (Royal Mile) in one direction and around the same in the other direction to the new town (Princes Street) Sue is probably the most welcoming host we have ever met, nothing appears to...

Best B&B during our travel all around Scotland. Very good rooms, fantastic breakfast - elegant interior decoration in a Victorian house; a real oasis to come back to in the afternoon.
