Ok, so my sister paid for us to stay after a wedding. We had a twin room which was tiny . The curtains were incredibly thin and let the light through and the room was hot. It's on a main road so there was traffic noise with the windows open. Beds were not comfortable but ok and there were sheets... More

My husband and I were gifted a night here for Christmas. We both love Edinburgh and have came through many times for an over night stay. We have stayed in lots of different places in Edinburgh and Marchfield has been, by far, the best. The owners were very friendly, the rooms were beautiful and exceptionally clean. The breakfast was fantastic.... More

we needed a one night as friend were playing in the tattoo, so Edinburgh will be expensive. This B and B is a fair way out of town, parking is free but cramped, one room was OK, but the other did not have a en suite and was tiny as a double. Breakfast was already on a tray in the... More

Me and my friend stayed here for 2 nights. We had a lovely time. The couple that run the B&B could not have been more welcoming. They were lovely and we chatted often during the weekend. The room was good and cosy. Thanks for a great weekend :)

The guest-house is situated in a strategic location, halfway between the airport and the center of Edinburgh. It has a simple, but quite large room. The owner is very kind indeed. The main entrance is on a quiet dead-end street, but the bedroom faces on a very busy road and this can be a problem for light sleepers. Alas, all... More

Arrived a little after 4pm after travelling from Inverness.Hardly the warmest of welcomes.Almost felt we had inconvenienced them.Guest house situated off a busy main road.Drab, and grubby small twin bedroom, old and tired looking with dated covers and BLANKETS...tiny towels and a sink way to close to the bed to fully appreciate. The tv was from the ark.pillows flat and the b/side lamp... I don't know what people were expecting for a nice price like this place offers. My friend and I stayed here for two nights and enjoyed ourselves, although it's obviously not a luxury place. It feels like the upstairs of someone's house that the owners are maintaining, but that's probably because... oh wait. It is the upstairs of a house!... More

I would not recommend this b&b at all. We needed two rooms and we stayed one night. We couldn't get any sleep for the continual noise from the traffic, as the house is situated on a motorway! The interior of the house is in poor condition, with carpets torn and uplifting, and there are no curtains in the downstairs apartment,... More

We came there last week just for one night because we landed very late. The Lady is very nice, she explains you everything and she is very helpfull. The room was great, it was well cleaned. There was also a Continental breakfast in our fridge. I recommanded this guest house
