Stayed here for two nights on an Edinburgh City break with my boyfriend. I'd stayed in travelodges before and enjoyed my stay. However, this one slightly disappointed me. I was firstly let down by the room. It was very outdated and could have done with modernising. The windows were very dirty and unappealing and there was a dirty mug too.... More

Booked this to take grandson on a visit to Edinburgh. Location was good though not the easiest of places to see or find. Only a couple of minutes to Haymarket station also all buses and trams. The hotel is a large Victorian mid terrace, so it is not very "modern" inside. However our room was very large, yes perhaps a... More

We only needed a room for a quick stop over. Arrived late in the evening to be greeted by the smokers on the door step. Enter reception gave our name receptionist looked up and said she would be a moment. Several passed without another word!. We were eventually given a key and an explanation about the card machine difficulties...... I... More

we stayed in room 315, I was disappointed when I walked into the room and seen how dated it was. The room was very spacious and consisted of 1 double bed and 2 camp beds, the bathroom had a bath with overhead shower, everything in the room was old fashioned , the Windows had mould around them. The staff at... More

Positives first, all the staff we encountered were great, very chatty, helpful and efficient. Location is great, bus into Princes Street is very easy, you do have to change to get onto the Royal Mile. Access to Haymarket station is 2 minutes and trains run to Waverley all the time and it only takes 4 minutes. The heat as mentioned... More

A cramped cubby hole of a single room (no. 307), small single bed pushed against the wall - to be fair, there was no alternative. Small duvet which kept slipping off. The bathroom felt in need of a good clean, and ideally refurbishing. Toilet seat wouldn't stay up. Vanity lights didn't work. It just felt a little miserable, and old-fashioned... More

We are booked to stay in this hotel for 2 nights and so far have been less than impressed with this hotel. For a start, as soon as you walk in, you are hit with a ridiculous heat which continues into the bedroom which makes for a great nights sleep (note the sarcasm) 😒. Also, the constant slamming of the... More

Visit the travelodge in haymarket for over priced rooms. That are dirty poorly lit as in no working light bulbs. For tiny moldy shower cubicles that smell of sewage. And a shower that trickles out water and can't decide if it's hot or cold.

The safe here were absolutely brilliant. I received a very warm and friendly welcome on arrival. I needed taxis booked for me, which the guy on reception did without a problem. Food was good, nothing spectacular but good after a busy day when you're tired. Bed was extremely comfortable and room on second floor was HUGE. Overall a good stay.
