If you want to feel welcome, this is the place! Our room was grand with a cozy decor and a view over the garden with Dundee further away. The place is lovely and the host couple Barrie and Olwyn are so very kind and helpful, and you feel very welcome. The surroundings and the house are beautiful, relaxing and very...

Hello Pelle and Maia. Glad you enjoyed your stay with us and that you liked the countryside around Dundee and Angus. You certainly managed to explore a wide area after the car hire was resolved. Hope to welcome you again.

Duntrune House was one of the finest experiences I've had staying in a Bed and breakfast. Barrie and Olwyn certainty made the stay feel homey and treated me like a highly esteemed guest. They went above and beyond for my requests and poured their knowledge on anything and everything when it came to the discussion! The house is a treasure...

As always Barrie & Olwyn were the perfect hosts, tea and homemade cake on arrival and an excellent choice of breakfast each morning cooked perfectly by Barrie. The larger than average sized bedrooms all with en-suite are all unique. Each time we visit this beautiful house, she reveals something new. The house is situated in a very peaceful location with...

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights. Barrie and Olwyn welcomed us on our arrival and could not have been better hosts. Their house is in a beautiful, serene setting and the house itself is full of interest. The breakfasts catered for our individual tastes and the owners were always helpful and informative so that we visited a...

Having previously stayed here, we looked nowhere else. The welcome is exceptional with tea and cake served when we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was large with lovely complimentary toiletries. Very comfortable beds. Breakfast was lovely and cooked to order. Barry and Olwyn are terrific hosts and have a great knowledge of surrounding areas. Would recommend this...

Most charming and well informed host Barrie and hostess Olwyn. We definitely will recommend to our friends traveling to historic Dundee and Edinburgh! The listed home is charming, with plenty of indoor and outdoor spots for relaxing. Breakfast time is always special. The bedrooms are comfortable, though could do with a little less clutter. The warm hospitality we found at...

We spent 4 nights at Duntrune House in July at the time of the British Open at St Andrews. The property overlooks Dundee and sits in very pleasant grounds. Duntrune was a good base to explore the coast and surrounding areas. Barrie and Olwyn were wonderful hosts offering advice on places to see and even taking two 'golf widows' on...

My husband and I recently stayed here with a family member in the family room. Our hosts were kind and informative. Our breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed a good night's rest. The grounds are stunning, overlooking Dundee. Duntrune is a listed home with the accompanying charm, but the overall upkeep and organization could benefit from a bit of attention. There...

I stayed at Duntrune during a three-day detox retreat, and found hospitality and caring that was second to none. Olwyn and Barrie provided the perfect balance of unobtrusive care, from delivering my 'breakfast' juices to my room so that I did not have to sit in the dining room with other guests who were enjoying a full cooked breakfast, to...
