We stayed there for 2 nights roo. Was spotless with comfy bed The location was in the middle of the town which was vibrant and busy. Nice to see that the track and trace was done to a high standard. We had a meal at the restaurant which was very nice. The town itself has everything you need and more. People in town are very friendly places to eat and drink in abundance. Try the Tapas restaurant if you can get booked. We had a brilliant time and will definitely return Well done to all concerned

Had a great weekend break in this hotel, the room was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was superb, and would recommend you to visit.the town centre was only about ten minutes from the hotel, so was very handy for taking a short walk in to the centre of broughty ferry. We hope to visit again in the summer.

I was coming to visit family In broughty ferry and they recommended we stay at the broughty ferry hotel so I booked a family room for myself and my two daughters. The room was very clean and we were happy with the set up. We had dinner in the hotel and sat down in the bar, there were 5 of us round a very small round table which would have been ok if the staff had taken our empties as we were going but this wasn’t the case. The food was brought to us and my daughters chips landed on her knee due to the girl stretching over us, then there was no sauce served with the mixed grill and I was half way through my lasagne when I got my garlic bread (which I had to ask for) the food was just rubbish.. not warm enough and very bland tasting which according to my cousin who eats here often is very unusual. The only channel that worked on the TV was BBC news. We went to bed around 12 and the three of us hardly slept a wink, there was work going on right across the road and this went on all night with the jackhammer starting at 4am. According to my cousin the residents were all given letters about this but when booking we were not made aware of it. All the small things I wouldn’t normally bother about and I know they seem petty but now after a full night lying awake our plans for the day are ruined and we just want to go home. On checking out we weren’t asked how our stay was which has prompted me to write this review. I will not stay in this hotel again and have been left very disappointed with the service.

Visited today as group of four. Two had the same starter of Haggis and Creamy mash tower. Unfortunately the plates were cold so the food was only lukewarm and the sauce very peppery. We did make the waitress aware. Main courses were beautiful and very hot.

Dear Cathpa2018, Many thanks for your disappointing review, we are all so sorry that the issue was cold plates with two of the four starters, and your pepper sauce was too peppery. On the other hand we are all delighted that the rest of the meal was beautiful and very hot. We have told the chefs to pay more attention in future, making sure the plates have been heated properly. Once again I can only apologise, we hope to see you again. Have a lovely Xmas day tomorrow. Kind regards, Jeff Stewart.
