We stayed 3 nights last weekend with our dogs in the double delux room which is a great size. Overalll the hotel could do with a lick of paint but its is clean and the staff are very helpful and friendly which more than makes up for tired decor. Food

Arrived at 2pm Sunday afternoon, only another 2 tables occupied, we decided to sit in the Conservatory area; tables needed a good clean as they were rather sticky. Drinks and food order taken from a friendly waitress, food did take time to arrive and didn't have any cutlery when it did had to wait on this. I had the Aberdeen... More

Stayed on a Saturday night with the wife. We were booked in a twin but the manager got us a swap to a double (room 3).Also booked us a taxi into Dundee. Bar is pretty good, watched the Euros on the big TV. The wife went to bed early and said the room could've done with soundproofing in the floor... More

The hotel does need a bit of tlc however what it lacks on that, the staff (Ross) make up for it,he seamed the only one there. This place has great potential and there is a new owner in place .It might not be to everyone's taste but try it ,you might just be surprised

Came here with the family for an evening meal and was not disappointed. Cozy pub hotel feel to the place and the food was very good. Kids meals and adult menu had a good choice and we all very much enjoyed our food. Excellent value for money. Would come back.

Stayed here 30/5/16 for 1 night whilst working in Carnoustie and found the location great for me. Ate here as well and it was first class. Staff very friendly and my single room was fine only slight criticism was the size of the shower in otherwise nice bathroom So yes it is 3 star but overall I would happily stay... More

I was a solo traveller and this hotel was a great base for visiting family. I found the hotel decor tired and in need of updating but my room, although small, was adequate and clean. I felt the breakfast times were limited 7-9am but worth getting up for, cooked breakfast was spot on. Staff were friendly but I could have... More

We booked a very last minute room, the gentleman on check in booked us in quickly but couldn't answer questions we asked about directions to another hotel. Room was very large but the decor looked very "rustic" with paint splashes/smears on light fittings, mirror and doors. Shower did not operate via mixer tap in the bath which was disappointing after... More

The location of this hotel was excellent close to beach and golf course, Stayed here 13th and 14th may 2016 in room 12.On arrival the hotel looks tired. Pigeons and starlings nesting in broken soffit. On entering the hotel we noticed wallpaper black and peeling off . Guy on reception was friendly as was all staff. We arrived just after... More

£46 doesn't get you much hotel wise these days and you get what you pay for. Plus points: i was in room 12, my bed was comfortable and the room was a good size, parking and WIFI are both plentiful and free Minuses: bathroom could do with a refurb, I found some parts what needed a bit of a clean...
