My wife and I stayed three nights, to meet up with family and as a base for a wedding nearby. It proved to be an excellent choice. Our room (201) was clean, comfortable, quiet and newly decorated (as was much of the hotel). We slept well. We appreciated the historic character of the reception/lounge/bar area. The cosy fire made sitting...

We were staying at the Annandale Arms hotel while attending a function. Our room had been recently redecorated and was very comfortable and well-equipped. The wifi was free and signal strength was fine. We were particularly impressed with the digital shower, easy to control and roomy. We had a buffet lunch which was very good with a wide selection of...

Stayed overnight to break journey when travelling north with aview to exploring some boders towns as we travelled. Small hotel onhigh steet with plenty parking. Checkin smooth. Room large and clean but fairly basic (but comfortable bed and functional bathroom). Had drinks and dinner in hotel - food excellent (scallops and steak) although strange no cheese board. Reasonably priced wine...

We booked table for eight on Saturday night which was really good. The range and quality was really good and pricing very reasonable. Excellent cullin skink soup and a great range of pies. Service was excellent and really enjoyed the experience.

We stayed at the hotel recently while on our travels, we found the hotel to be clean and tidy and the staff helpful, but a few points on booking the hotel, although enquiries made via email was quick, further conversation to confirm booking by phone / pay etc, but no confirmation email, until chased up the following day... Booking in...

My wife and another couple were booked for one night for a catch up as we hadn't seen them for almost a year. First impression of the Hotel wasn't too great as the outside is in need of a facelift however the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the lobby, bar and restaurant were very nice as was our...

We stayed here last year on our way north/south and booked a return visit for the same reason. There is always a warm welcome at reception and knowing that there is no lift I had requested a room on reception level prior to arriving. This request had been dealt with and we had a lovely twin room at the back...

This is the second time we have broken our journey from Leeds to Tarbert on Loch Fyne by calling in Moffat and staying here with our dog. The garden rooms are ideal for what we want. The bar meal was delicious and breakfast first class too. The service was excellent and the staff really friendly. It happened to be music...

My wife and I stayed overnight on 22 Sept. The welcome at reception could not have been more helpful and friendly and we were able to reserve a table for dinner. The room (103) was fine for our purposes. Comfortable bed, smart bathroom and all the facilities we needed. Would go back again just for that. But the best part...

We enjoy staying here, the location is good, the ambience is what one would expect and the staff are mostly very good. The restaurant is excellent. They really need to provide 5 foot double beds though, as 4'6" is too narrow for most Caucasian couples. Also, the wardrobe in our room was a joke with very limited space.
