Just stayed here for 1 night. Great room, lovely friendly B"n"B. Good views, great breakfast. Room large and clean nice en suite. We were hoping for some star gazing as Moffat does have Dark Sky status but it was wet and cloudy during our stay. This place is very reasonably priced and you can book it directly which would have... More

We were attending the annual Moffat Car Rally & this year we stayed in a different B&B mainly due to it having ample private car parking and great walks for our dogs. Andrew & Jan were extremely helpful & Andrew even gave us car shampoo & the use of the outside water hose to wash our car as it got... More

We stayed at Rosebery House as a party of 3 people & 3 dogs & all had a lovely stay. The host, Jan, made us all feel like friends rather than guests & despite all 6 of us being in the family room together there was more than enough space. Initially we had booked for 1 night but ended up... More

Booked this B &B twice this year to visit family/friends. Will certainly stay again.Great food and hospitality. The views from the rooms at the front are stunning. There was a previous comment about bedding smelling of washing powder, I have never in my life heard anyone complain about clean smelling laundry,!!! It is a home from home B&B.

My wife and I were greeted by Mrs Macdonald, or Jan as she told us to call her. We were shown to our room and were immediately impressed by the cleanliness. The breakfast was cooked to our specification and I must admit it as very tasty indeed. Jan was most informative about the surrounding area and told us of walks... More

On arrival we were greeted by Jan who was very welcoming & friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for her, and the use of the barbecue and outside space was great. We stayed for a week in the 2nd floor apartment, which is very spacious, tastefully decorated, and spotlessly clean. The addition of fresh flowers in some rooms was a very... More

Because of the reviews I was expecting a pleasant experience. I did not get it. First impressions: smell of breakfast on the landing at 5.30pm; dirty tissue on floor in bedroom; no soap at washbasin; unpleasant polyester bedspread (yes, I am fussy and like my natural fibres); bedlinen was polycotton and smelled of washing powder; plastic undersheet on bed; sticky...
