My partner and I have been going to this establishment for several years now. We are always looked after well. Very welcoming the hosts are very accommodating nothing is too much trouble. It is very clean, warm and inviting. The breakfast menu has something for everyone. This establishment is well worth a visit and the price is good.
Queenberrry house has lost none of its charm and friendly service since it reopened after lockdown. I have been coming here for years and still love it. The house is just 5 minutes from the town too. My room as always was spotlessly clean with everything I needed. Nice comfy bed and the house is really quiet so I slept soundly. You still get a welcome cuppa and biscuits on arrival and all the safety measures are in place so it felt clean, comfortable and most of all relaxed. The breakfast of poached eggs and porridge were delicious with a refreshing cup of tea but there are many other options on the menu catering for all appetites. My friend is vegan and she loved the scrambled tofu, very unusual. I stayed for 3 nights so I could get a good feel for Moffat. There are loads of things to do here and the high street and well street are full of independent shops and cafes with superb cake. I can throughly recommend Ariete on the high street for lunch especially the brownies. We also walked round the local community woodlands and riverside walk - it was so peaceful. One evening we went to Claudios the Italian restaurant which serves up incredible food - we had the antipasti of 4 starters to try, delicious. I can’t wait to go back to Moffat, it is a little gem waiting to be discovered.…
I stayed at Queensberry House for a couple of nights. Caroline and Miles were so friendly and superb hosts. I really felt at home and very relaxed as soon as I arrived. This is a beautiful B&B. The rooms are very comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was very tasty and the porridge was yummy . Caroline and Miles are very kind and thoughtful hosts with a good sense of humour and will go out of their way to help you . Moffat itself is a great little town to walk around and explore with plenty of nice places to eat, and the area around looks great too and lots of places for walking if that's something you like to do. I will certainly be making Moffat a destination to come back to for a longer stay next time - and hope I can stay at Queensberry House when I do! Read less
On arrival we were offered tea and biscuits served in the bright and airy lounge with books and magazines for guests to read. We stayed for 1 night on our way North. Comfortable double room very clean, very good quality of bedding and towels. Bathroom with shower cubicle not huge but clean and fresh. Bathrobes available for guests. Fresh milk available on request for in room tea and coffee. We chose fresh fruit which was freshly prepared and the cooked breakfast was equally good using local produce. Very enjoyable. We do travel a lot and would recommend a stay at this well run bed and breakfast. Thank you.
Absolutely loved our overnight stay at this guest house. The hosts Caroline and Miles made us so welcome. Comfortable room and great breakfast. Very helpful advice on local places to eat and visit. Only regret is that we couldn't stay longer
