Rivergarth is a fantastic place to stay. Our room was exceptionally clean and comfortable and the house has lovely views of the river and a beautiful garden. Judi and Alan are great hosts and the breakfasts are terrific!

Just spent a few days with my partner at Rivergarth B&B and couldn’t fault it. Judi was the perfect host, very welcoming and full of local knowledge. Our room was comfortable, spacious and sunny, and was refreshed every day. The breakfasts (cooked by ex-professional chef Alan) were delicious, with plenty of choice. The B&B overlooks the River Dee (the large... More

Spent four days in Kirkcudbright at the Rivergarth in Sept. as part of a Scottish golf trip. Have done three golf trips to Scotland in recent years and Rivergarth ranks as one of the best B&B experiences ever. The location is extraordinary, set on a hillside overlooking the entrance to the Bay, and close to Central Kirkcudbright. The grounds and... More

We stayed in the family room last weekend, and were so delighted that we'd booked Rivergarth! The hosts, Judi and Alan, were so welcoming and knowledgeable; the room was really nicely decorated and clean, with nice tea-making facilities including fresh milk as a thoughtful touch. Alan's career as a chef was evident in the stunning breakfasts which were of very... More

We arrived last minute - with 3 different sets of dietary requirements for breakfast. None of this fazed Judi - our wonderful host, or her chef husband who certainly knew how to make a delicious breakfast. Judi was one of the best hosts I have ever met - with an incredible facility for names. She also took the time to... More

We stayed just one night in an all too brief visit to Kircudbright and received a warm welcome from Judi and Alan to their comfortable and well-maintained home over-looking the river, surrounded by their award-winning gardens.

We stayed at Rivergarth for two nights in early May, and were extremely impressed by the warm welcome we received and the standard of accommodation. Judi was friendly, helpful, efficient and knowledgeable about the local area. The whole B&B was tastefully decorated and furnished, and our rooms and bathrooms were exceptionally clean. One room had a lovely view over the... More
