We stayed 2 nights here for a mid-week mountain-biking break on the 7Stanes trails (which are superb, by the way). The hotel is what it is - a reasonably-priced, no frills, friendly hotel with a comfortable bar and dining room. We took room 1, situated on the 1st floor at the rear. It was quite spacious although the double bed... More

I have visited the hotel's restaurant several times over the years on mountain biking weekends away with my friends. The steak pie is the best I've had in any restaurant and the portion sizes is the same your granny gave you as a kid. Reasonably priced beer and there's a pool table too :)

If you are in the Gatehouse of Fleet area then for good honest food at very reasonable prices then this is the place to go. Just amazing value for money. Many days they also have a special offer. For example Friday's is Fish & Chips with bread & to follow a pot of tea. All for such a low price... More

We were on a family camping trip near by in auchenlarie and decided to visit this beautiful town. We had a dog so wanted somewhere dog friendly and child friendly. There were a few places but we choose this place because it looked the nicest and had a menu for us fussy eaters. I am a plain Jane and always... More

Great short visit to this lovely town. Excellent food and nice room. Highly recommended. Value for money and we'll worth the slight detour from A 75. Plenty to do and see in the area including Galloway Forrest Park, Gem museum and many beautiful beaches to explore.

I stayed at the hotel over the Easter break. I chose it as the rest of my family were staying in the village for a family reunion, and the price for a single person in a double was very good. However, it really is a case of you get what you pay for. If I had been staying with my... More

On holiday in Gatehouse-of-Fleet for a week, our first visit. Looking for somewhere that offers plain well-cooked food, and were recommended to the Bank of Fleet Hotel. The staff could not have been more helpful, prior to and during our visit. The three course Sunday lunch (£10) was excellent value. Nothing fancy, but wholesome fare, which suited my elderly Dad.

Stayed here while working. We were greeted warmly on arrival and shown to our rooms. The rooms were basic but comfortable. The food and service was very good however we had to eat literally in the middle of a darts game which was a first and i bit surreal. Comfortable sleep and breakfast was excellent. Overall very good.
