Just back from a stay at this amazing house with my partner and 8 month old baby. Inside is a feast for the eyes. A house full of character. Spotlessly clean with comfortable beds. Breakfast was superb too. The owners are the most hospitable people my family and I have ever met, nothing was a problem for them. Best B&B... More

We spent the final 2 nights of our 3 week trip to Scotland at Hazeldean House. Billy and Wilma have certainly developed a wonderful manner of running a b & b in over 20 years of operation. Their lovely home and yard, spacious well appointed rooms, fine breakfasts in lovely solarium, and excellent recommendations for dinners and points of interest... More

My mother and I stayed four nights at Hazeldean Guest House, May 17-20, 2016. Billy and Wilma Harper offer such a high level of cheerful service that it is humbling. Case-in-point: my mum wanted to have hair and nails done. She likes to do this sort of thing in order to interact with local people. The hair appointment having been... More

We were made to feel very at home here. We stayed in 'The Cabin' a nautical themed room which was lovely and quiet. Breakfast was lovely with a good choice of cereals, etc. followed by a cooked breakfast which was ordered the previous evening. Nothing was too much trouble for our host. I can happily recommend this B&B.

Stayed for three nights in late April at Hazeldean. Billy is a great host, a wealth of local knowledge. The room was large, plenty of history and memorabilia. Breakfast was lovely, beautiful room with great choice of food. Access to the town was easy, nice and straightforward. Well worth a stay here and very very reasonably priced.

I stayed overnight in a double en suite at the Hazledean House Hotel in Dumfries; it had a four poster bed, was warm and comfortable, with easy access to free wi-fi, and cost exceptionally little, for a single person occupancy. I have tayed here once before, and found it to be the same warm and welcoming place as before, where... More

This is a stellar B+B on a quiet street a short walk from Dumfries train station. The proprietors clearly take great pride in their house, lovingly decorated and so clean it gleams. We've stayed here twice and have been very well looked after both times. Rooms are warm and clean, breakfast is delicious, plenty of parking space, not a thing... More
