I have been using the Dunmar every week this year and Fraser one of the staff here could not have been more helpful if he tried. He has always got a nice word for you whether its early morning or late at night and he is always very welcoming to the guests. He is a asset to this business and... More

This is a place that hasn't caught up with the 21st century, and it needs to if it wants to go on being a hotel and not just a scenic setting for functions. The coffee is instant; the internet password is not in the information folder but only available in tiny print at reception (the delightful young man at reception... More

Sunday lunch was delicious. Not a huge choice on the menu but generous portions. Service was good, staff friendly and price excellent. We chose to go later in the afternoon and this was the only downfall as we were the only customers there.

Stayed here for two nights visiting a client. What can one say about the Dunmar?! The staff are super; friendly and chatty and they work hard. I think there's only about 3 or 4 of them there at any given time and they run the reception, bar and waiter service without a hitch. The property itself has seen better days... More

We stayed as a family in three rooms and had a wonderful evening. We were a little hestitent as it seemed to be privately owned and had little reviews. But we had a great night, lovely room and great bathroom, all bowers are electric bit nosey as older but good supply. Lovely sleigh beds and our other family had a... More

We held our Silver Wedding Party at the hotel recently. Robert helped us plan the event for a number of months beforehand and was able to give very constructive suggestions and advice which ensured everything ran smoothly. The buffet was excellent and our guests particularly enjoyed the Steak Pies. Staff were all very friendly and excellent throughout the evening and... More
