Having worked in big cities all around the uk I found Selkirk to be relaxing and a nice change. Then to add a friendly cosy atmosphere in a clean and well presented hotel , the family who own the hotel are always at hand to offer help with anything. I was present when a guy on a push bike who... More

This old converted house is a great place to stay with great hosts. We were welcomed and shown to our room with had a great view over the garden. We ate in the restaurant and the bar attendant and cook went out of their way to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. The room was comfortable although the ensuite... More

I used to stay here regularly about 20 years ago. The hotel has changed hands several times since then but the welcome is still as warm as ever. I was in Selkirk on business for two nights and thought I'd see what it's like now. The rooms are spacious and comfy and the location is very quiet. You can't fail... More

We stayed one night and the owner was very welcoming. We had our dog with us and we're pleased to find excellent walks near by. Our room was very comfortable although the ensuite was very small. We ate at the hotel and had an excellent homemade steak and ale pie. Plenty of car parking space. We would not hesitate to... More

My wife and I stayed here for a total of 3 nights. We were immediately welcomed by Sharon, who ran the place. The hotel itself is a bit tired, but the staff are exceedingly cheery and helpful. Excellent freshly cooked breakfast , the owner made us feel very welcome. We would use this hotel again a bit old fashioned but this is part of its charm. We would use this hotel again it is well placed to see the Borders .
