We would highly recommend this as a place to stay in Peebles. Lovely room, lovely reasonably priced meals, reasonably priced drinks, right in the centre of Peebles. This was our second stay and we love it.

Fantastic meal and fantastic drinks, in a lovely clean environment, which is unbelievable value for money. The staff are very obliging and friendly, we will be visiting here again for sure. We dined out recently in Peebles, where the meal was more than twice the price, and honestly the food was not as good as here, and that didn't include... More

While the room was nice, it felt more like we were staying in a bar as opposed to a hotel. We had to go to the bar to ask to check in. There was no reception as such. We stayed 2 nights and on our first night when we returned from a night out, the whole place was locked up.... More

Booked last minute and bagged a room only deal for £49 - bargain. Think we were given the wrong room as we thought we were getting a king size and ended up with a twin. Room was large enough and comfortable enough with a sofa, AC, flat screen TV, tea/coffee making facilities, nice clean en suite and huge fluffy towels.

Hi Daftlad1664, Glad to hear that you think our rooms are great value and that you enjoyed your stay with us. We are sorry about any confusion over the room set-up, some of our rooms can be converted between two singles or one king-size bed. Did you bring the matter to the attention of the manager? We hope to see... More

The Cross Keys hasn't been open that long since extensive refurbishment by J D Wetherspoon, and is in a nice location in the centre of Peebles. As well as having accommodation, there is the usual wide choice of food and drinks - including several real ales - and should the sun happen to shine, there is outdoor seating in the... More

We had a really big room, with an enormous bed. A walk in shower and plenty of space in the bathroom. Luckily, there was a very warm & sunny day and we enjouyed a drink in the beautiful garden. The hotel is located in the middle of Peebles. Even locals visit the restaurant. The staff was very friendly. Only the... More

Part of the growing chain of Wetherspoons hotels, with is a very old property, with only sevne rooms, which has been very tastefully modernised. Facilities are broadly similar to say, Premier Inn, but with a bit more style and charm. Although prices vary, we paid only £39 for Sunday night, which was excellent value. The adjoining pub serves standard Whetherspoons... More
