Went to restaurant for evening meal. Ordered lasagne. Was on the menu served with garlic bread and salad. Salad never arrived. Garlic bread was burnt. The cheese sauce on the top was solid. Appeared very hot on outside but only lukewarm in the middle, YUK. Our son had a steak , had to ask for a steak knife to enable... More

Just home with chronic indigestion after and appalling meal. We arrived at 5 after being told that the evening meals were not served until 5 - we had wanted to eat at 4 - only to find out that its exactly the same menu at 4 or 5. Quite why they limit the menu on a Sunday is beyond me.... More

We had a very tasty lunch while visiting Melrose, staying on Gibson Park caravan site, only downside was the drinks were expensive but will say the food was excellent.Would certainly go back if we were in the area.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights as visiting family in Scotland for the first time. This hotel was recommended by a family member and we were't disappointed! Although there are a few things that could do with a bit of updating-our stay was very relaxing and enjoyable! The hotel is clean and the staff very welcoming. We... More

This is a review of the pub. We stopped here for lunch in May after a nice walk over from Tweedbank. It is a pleasant pub on the main street in Melrose. The pub looked nice and cozy inside but it was warm enough for us to sit outside on their nice sheltered patio. Nice selection of beer – we... More

Pleasant little hotel. The staff seemed a little off putting at first, but they warmed up greatly. The rooms were nicely appointed, with a tea/coffee service. They were clean and well cared for. There is a pub on the ground floor so you might want to ask for a room in the rear, as those on the street side catch... More

I am writing this review as a huge thank you to all the staff that work in the kings arms hotel in Melrose. I had booked one of the private conference rooms for my fathers funeral and although it was the worst day of my life the staff made it flow smoothly and were warm and welcoming making it was... Went to Kings Arms for Sunday lunch, on last Bank Holiday in May and have to say very disappointed with both the choice of food and then the quality of the food served. Used to use this hotel regularly for lunch however, not likely to be back after this disappointing meal.
