Stayed in this hotel with friends as a base to finish the southern upland way. This was an excellent hotel and would advise anybody to stay here if in Melrose. The room was spotless and the breakfasts very good. The hosts were very friendly and we were well looked after. Hope to stay here again when in the borders. Gordon... More

An excellent B & B with everything we needed including an urbane host. We dined at the Ship Inn (fish from the fishmongers next door) and the Kings Arms (where Melrose RFC was formed. The bar is walled with shirts). Melrose abbey is almost next door. Abbotsford, the home of Sir Walter Scott, is a short bus ride away. We... More

We stayed here a few years back and were delighted to find the same warm welcome at this functional B&B situated right in the middle of the charming town of Melrose. The room, up a short flight of stairs, was spotless with good en-suite facilities and provided just the right rest break on our journey north to Thurso. A very... More

Immaculate room with a great selection of toiletries and tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast was excellent with lovely fresh fruit cocktail and a variety of cereals as well as full cooked breakfast. Would definitely recommend

We stayed at this charming and comfortable B&B for a few nights as it was handy for the nearby Borders Hospital. Cosy and clean room and a fantastic on the spot cooked breakfast in the morning, Brian was a great host. Highly recommended.Great value

Dunfermline House is a small and comfortable B&B located right in the heart of Melrose just steps from the abbey. The rooms are spacious, very clean and comfortable. While our room overlooked the street there was negligible noise during the night. A cooked breakfast is provided and was excellent. I do wish there had been some heat in our room... More

The B&B is located adjacent to the Abbey and the start of the St Cuthberts Way. The rooms were clean and quite comfortable. This was the only B&B that we stayed in that offered a breakfast special. This is a nice touch and makes this place somewhat special. I strongly recommend the B&B.
