Property's Favorite Review
We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Alltavona for 2 nights last week and cannot recommend it highly enough. On entering our room we were immediately struck by the gorgeous decor, the wallpaper and bedding were stunning and the room was so unique. We had not paid for a sea view and so when looking out of our side view window we could not believe the fantastic view we had of the water. Such a lovely surprise. I must emphasise the extremely high standard to which the room had been cleaned. It was immaculate, and one of the most well presented places we have stayed. The team clearly work to a very high standard and it did not go unnoticed. During Covid a continental breakfast is delivered to your room at a time of your choosing. Carol very kindly also offered us hot breakfast rolls which was very much appreciated and so unexpected. The breakfast was terrific and of great quality with more then enough to keep us going. Hot rolls (2 square sausage per roll!), cereal, croissant, muffin, breakfast bar, fruit, fresh orange etc etc. The lady who delivered the breakfast was so friendly and helpful. We would like to give the highest praise to Carol who is just the most welcoming host. During normal times the standard provided would have exceeded expectations, so to visit during Covid after what must have been a tough year and receive such high quality was outstanding. This will be our number one choice for Oban in future. Thanks so much for all of your help with parking and rearranging our stay. See you again.

My husband and I stayed for a couple of nights this week and I can’t recommend this guest house enough. The room was impeccably decorated and had a luxurious feel. Our room was quite small but I could see past that for how lovely it was. We had a beautiful view of the bay which is always a bonus. Room was very clean which is all the more important now. There was sanitizer in various place which is appreciated. Breakfast was continental or a hot filled roll. The breakfast tray brimmed with all sorts. Water, fruit juice, yogurt, coffee sachet, milk, a piece of fruit, ham , cheese, butter , jam and a croissant. More than enough. We met Carol who runs the house and she was totally lovely and helpful. If I had any criticism it would be that a little table would have been appreciated more so for having breakfast. I felt I had nowhere to put my tea cup for fear of marking furniture. That said it wouldn’t stop me booking again. Worth every penny

A cozy, convenient guest house! I liked the personal touch our room had- some orange tartan , some highland cows and some thistle wall paper. The towels, location, room, cleanliness and breakfast were wonderful... one problem? I can’t even remember! 5/5 as completely matched expectations and I would advise others to stay here whilst in Oban. Parking is a bit “weird” so make sure you park accordingly if you are planning to leave at any point.

A rare gem of a guest house in Oban. One of the best views overlooking the bay on the front - at the peaceful end. High standards of cleanliness with attention to detail. Quality, tasteful furnishings and rooms with sea view particularly spacious, with outlook over the bay. Friendly, attentive owners and staff, yet not intrusive. All of which make for a relaxing, comfortable and enjoyable experience. The recent addition of outdoor patio furniture allows you to enjoy relaxing views across the bay. During Covid restrictions a more than ample breakfast is brought to your room - only one very minor point to the chef - for those who prefer crispy bacon a tad longer under the grill would be appreciated lol .
