Room was clean, comfortable and warm. There was some traffic noise at night as hotel is right beside the main road. Breakfast usual choices of cereals, yogurts, fruits, etc and fried breakfasts which are freshly cooked to order. Service was very efficient and friendly. Car parking available for about 8 cars. Hotel is literally 5 minutes walk downhill into the... More

All good. Stayed for four nights in September. The hotel is an easy 10 minute walk from the centre of Oban for those with normal mobility. Spotlessly clean en suite room with comfortable bed ensured a decent sleep after the days activities. Ample storage space for clothing. The en suite wasn't huge but as long as all works, I don't... We arrived to a warm welcome after a long drive and were given all the information we needed. We booked directly with the hotel which is cheaper and would recommend this. Helpful tips from the owner regarding parking for the ferry as we were up really early to go to an island. Room 25, clean comfortable with a lovely view... More

Not a bad location just on the outskirts of town, about 5 minute walk to the centre. Room was comfortable if a little out dated, but we both had a good nights sleep. Breakfast was good. Car park is a bit tight but at least there is one.

Stayed in this fab hotel for 2 nights and we were made most welcome, hotel was very clean, views were excellent, but best of all was the very friendly and very very helpful staff! Within easy walking distance to the town centre, right next to sports centre. Will definitely be back! Would highly recommend it!

Stayed here for one night during an organised tour of the Highlands. Only a small group of around 22, which was split up into several different hotels and B & B's. I think there was about 8 of us in this hotel. No real welcome, just given keys to the room. Walking through to the room, the hotel smelt musty.... More

Thank you for your comments , we usually welcome constructive criticism , however there are several factual inaccuracies in this review. There were in fact 15 of the group staying with us, who have had a jam packed day , and are usually more than ready to get to their rooms , and get freshened up , I personally check... More

Had a one night stay in a superior twin room. The room was large, with two double beds, modern decoration and a good size en-suite. All the staff we spoke with were very friendly and breakfast was great. Our room faced onto the road and there was a bit of traffic noise but nothing too bad. If you are a... More

Last minute booking for overnight stay. Arrived too late for evening meal the owner was helpful in directing us into Oban and where we could find places to eat. When we got to room it was clean and equipped for our stay. Breakfast was very good with a plentiful choice of both cooked and continental style menu. Staff very friendly... More

Great stay at The Kings Knoll. I would like to say this is one of the better hotels in Oban. We booked the room at short notice as we were on a road trip. We stayed in room 26 facing the harbour. Lovely spacious room with great shower in the en suite. There is a well stocked bar and pleasant... More
