A fabulous stay at the Perle for Hogmanay and New Years. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a Junior Suite with sea view and the room was just stunning with so much space and a fabulous seating area in the bay window looking out to the ferry terminal. We had visited Lulus Lounge on a previous visit to Oban and knew it was where we wanted to bring in the bells. Had a fabulous night, staff and cocktails are amazing and the midnight fireworks above McCaigs Tower were a great surprise and added bonus. We booked dinner for New Years Night in BAAB Restaurant which is lovely and has the added bonus of being able to get drinks from Lulus! We ended up staying an additional third night as we weren’t ready to leave, definitely hope to return again soon.

Brilliant 2 night stay at perle oban. The staff are welcoming & eager to help. Nothing too much bother, lovely bar and mezze restaurant where breakfast is served too. A continental with a cooked breakfast if you opt in, with tea, coffee and a choice of fresh fruit juices. If mezze is not your thing and you like fish and seafood please try eeusk seafood restaurant just 5 min walk at the pier, its well worth it, other restaurants to choose from. Try and get a sea view towards the harbour and ferry, will have you looking out for hours. The only downside is you might get a room above the bar, where folk congregate to have a cigarette and a chat. It wasn't a catastrophe as bar shuts at 11pm. We stayed 10th December 2021 and as other venues emptied it was a bit noisy with merry makers but that's outwith the hotels worries. As it was my husbands birthday the hotel upgraded our suite and left a card and chocolates were a lovely touch. Matresses so comfy, good quality bed linen, towels, slippers and dressing gowns, not to mention the gorgeous toiletries. A special thank you to a man on reception, sorry we didn't get his name but he loved his trains and locomotion sets and spoke to us in great detail about them so we could tell our grandson all about them. Really interesting.

We spent 2 nights here at the weekend for my husband's 30th in a junior suite. It had a beautiful view over the bay. The room was tastefully decorated and the bathroom/ shower was adequate. Our room was on the 1st floor directly above the lulu lounge and I am pleased to report that whilst it was loud with music etc in the evening, it promptly quietened down by 11pm both evenings. We received complimentary oban chocolate Co treats as a birthday gift on arrival. Our stay included breakfast both mornings which was phenomenal - full bellys all round and excellent quality. We also dined in the BAAB restaurant for our first evening and were very impressed with the meze selection. The staff were very attentive. I would rate the food as expensive, if you like large portions for your money then I wouldn't recommend. The location is perfect for exploring oban and stumbling distance from the train station, wetherspoons, most shops and restaurants. We will definitely be back! We paid £5 to park at oban Tesco which is a short walk from the hotel and our car was safe and unharmed all weekend.

Currently sitting in the hotel eating a cream tea. At over £13 for two, I would expect better than a a plastic tub of cream and a small caterer’s jar of cheap jam! Scones are large but quite heavy. Sticky fingers and no napkins provided. Pop and dance music is blasting out of the speakers, destroying the ambience of the lovely room. No hot water provided. Overpriced and disappointing.

We had a week in this hotel in October and it couldn't have been better. From the moment I walked into the room I knew it was going to be a good stay. The weather was changeable as you would expect this time of year but we had a great time mainly because the bed was so comfy and we slept like logs. The room was beautiful and had splendid views around Oban with three windows. The breakfast is great - cooked to order - no buffet rubbish here and it certainly set us up for the day - I have already booked again for May and September - same room of course because it was perfect.
