Popped in for lunch on a Saturday found it a good meal. Portion sizes were adequate, food was tasty and the fish was fresh. Staff were nice and you don't have to wait long to be served at either the bar or when ordering at the table. Place is clean enough.

We stopped here for something to eat as we had passed by many times and wanted to try it. Well, we've tried it and never again. It is nice enough to look at and the service was quick, but that's about it. None of the servers cracked a smile, they looked and acted bored, even when they were serving tables.... More

The rooms here were lovely, they were clean and bright with a very homely atmosphere and the tea and coffee making facilities in the room were well stocked. The staff were very attentive and happy to help with any questions about the area or with a simple request. The food was amazing and you certainly need a large appetite. It... More

Fantastic family run hotel. Beautiful flagstone floor in the bar. Real fires, fine ales and good food. Especially lovely in the winter with the fairy lights all over the ceiling.. Recommend any seafood dishes but you wont be disappointed with what you order.

The entrance hall has the map that could start your interest in the beginnings of your clan searches. There are rooms in this historic hotel, right beside the Inveraray Jail/Gaol, Haven't seen them. Great breakfast and dinner, A lovely large outside canopied area at the back/side for outside lunch/dinner/cocktail hour. All the rooms in the outer tower, 50 secs away... More

Stopped for lunch and as it appeared busy we went in.......usually a good sign when lots of the tables are occupied. The food was average for a pub restaurant but still enjoyable. The room is a bit dark where you are eating.....not sure if light bulbs were missing or if they are trying to create an atmosphere. Service was good............. More

We were looking forward to spending the night in this very old hotel, unfortunately we ended up very underwhelmed. It isn't the cleanest and has very noisy flooring the windows not being double glazed doesn't help either with keeping out the outside noise which was extremley loud till into the small hours. The biggest problem we had was you are... More
