Fantastic value for money. Overnight with breakfast and dinner. Nice room with panoramic view of loch ,lovely and clean . Staff very helpful and attentive ,especially in the dining room. Breakfast offered a good variety and nice choice at dinner. A typical old Scottish hotel brought up to date comfortable and welcoming

Firstly I have to say I'm a regular visitor to the hotel and area over the years. This past few years under new ownership it's been great to see some investment put into the old place. The staff are great, friendly and welcoming, the bar suppers excellent. The special boards generally advertising locally caught seafood. On our most recent visit... More

After a day's travelling our first contact with reception was to be told that our toilet didn't work, the plumber had not arrived and there were no other rooms. Half an hour later the plumber turned up, made some adjustments and left us with a very slow, barely flushing toilet. Fortunately we were only staying two nights so put up... More

I stayed here for three nights, whilst we (me and my biking mate) did an off-road course at Moto Scotland, just up the road. A beautiful, old building, with amazing views over Loch Fyne. There's parking on the hotel front. All staff, without exception, were very friendly and helpful. Our simple room was clean, with a modern shower unit and... More

We had been driving for a while and stopped by here, before finishing our drive, for dinner. We ate in The Lounge Bar, service was first class, I had the Inveraray Inn chicken, it was delicious, and very good value for money. Lovely wee place that I would recommend and eat at again if I'm ever in the area.

8 nights travelling around Scotland. This was the first hotel we stayed at. It was also the least expensive. A beautiful building with amazing views over the sea water loch and great parking on the front. Check in – very welcoming and pleasant receptionist. Room, perfectly comfortable and clean. Dinner – we ate in the bar, it was busy and... More

A far from welcoming bar, and the beer I was poured was clearly off and very cloudy. The 2nd attempt (accompanied by the comment of, 'we have never had any complaints') was as bad and included an unidentified black object floating in it. This was 'explained' by something which 'must have been in the glass'! - as if that was... More

Enjoyed a three night break in Inveraray, a town we have loved coming to for years. I have stopped at the hotel before, around 10 years ago on business, and it was amazing then. I was therefore keen to show it off to my wife. Unfortunately overall it was a disappointing stay. First and foremost we missed it is a... More

I read the reviews before I travelled to this hotel and want to say I found it very pleasant to stay at, it was charming, the staff friendly , it was clean , yes in need of updating in places , but I overlooked this as its pros outweigh the cons. Room was pleasant ,overlooking loch Fyne road noise was... More

We were allocated a room on the first floor. It was poorly furnished and very. Chlosterphobic. The shower room was shabby and the heated towel rail was literally hanging off the wall. The wiring was open to the damp air. The corridor leading to the room had a stair tread which was threadbare and a corridor door opened straight onto... More
