Our room was not in the main hotel it was just to the left of the building but as it turns out this was a good thing given the noise from the bar area, our room like lots of Highland hotels was a bit tired and very dated, shocking TV and really terrible shower. however we enjoyed our stay and... hotel overlooks the harbour and is an historic building. which of course means that there are different room styles. Privatly owned now, the staff was very helpful, well trained and friendly, the food was well cooked and the overall feeling was a very pleasing one. i can recommend this hotel for exploring the area

A quiet little hotel even though on a main road. The room was spacious and although a little tired was more than adequate and at a reasonable cost. The evening meal was fantastic with the salmon and vegetables coming out on a searing hot plate which kept them very hot throughout the meal. Topped off with good Whisky from the... More

Food was alright when it finally arrived however service was very slow and inattentive. Waited over 50 minutes for pudding (one apple crumble). We were ignored the first time we asked where it was, then we were snapped at by another waitress the second time we asked. Finally after asking a third member of staff we were told it would... The staff were lovely in this hotel and went the extra mile to help accommodate two older adults. The food also was excellent. However, the rooms were somewhat tired and in need of upgrade. Carpets were worn, bathrooms had broken equipment, shower had hairs from previous occupant and bar restrooms were poor. Probably wouldn't choose this hotel again unless there... More

Stayed for one night. Very clean and a nice room. Staff friendly and accommodating - no complaints. Breakfast very good. Quiet and peaceful and I had a great night's sleep. Lovely surroundings and a good base for driving around the local area. Great couple of hours spent at Inverary Jail - worth a visit when you're in the area. Also,... More

Very beautiful surroundings and a very charming hotel. Friendly staff. Pleasant room with a double bed (too hard for my liking), fine shower unit and adequate bathroom otherwise. Coffee and tea is offered with included kettle. Room could be improved with a few finishing touches from a craftsman (holes taped over in the bathroom with brown tape isn't that impressive!)... Trying hard I'd how I would describe the Inn. However actually training people would be better than employing people who are keen to please. Don't get me wrong it wasn't unpleasant it just came up shot of expectations. Beer - no ales on a hand pump... Nice craft ale gassed up. Bar staff of idea what I was talking about.... More

Stayed here as i was attending a course at motoscotland. The room was clean and tidy with a comfortable bed and a decent shower. The only thing was, as our room was to the rear of the hotel and we had left the room window open the room filled with the smell of smoke when the bio mass boiler fired... More

Staff were terrific, location wonderful, room comfortable and spacious enough, roomy bathroom. Margaret, a waitress, was the 1st person I saw when I arrived. She apologised that I was waiting for a few minutes and went to find the receptionist (Rachel) who'd gone to help another guest. Rachel took my bags for me as I had had a spine op... More
