I visited on two separate occasions for food, not accommodation. The first was actually all right. It was a lunch visit and my relative, someone with dietary restrictions, was catered for. The second occasion, a dinner visit, was far less appealing. My relative could not find anything to eat on the evening meal menu and when asking a waitress for... More

A wee day trip from Glasgow to Inveraray. After a walk in the High st went for lunch at the Inn. My husband had never tried cullenskink before so opted for that as his starter. Delicious! As was my caprese salad and mums oak smoked salmon, all generous portions. My mum and husband both had the fish and chips which... More

I can't comment on the accommodation as we did not stay at this hotel. We were travelling through Inveraray and stopped off here for some lunch. We had the specials and sampled there cullen Skink. The food was amazing, the cullen skink was the best I've ever had. The location of the inn allows for great view. My only downside... More

Stayed here for one night. Room clean but a bit tired. Wi-fi poor but I think this is a problem in the whole area. The hotel is undergoing a refurb so it'll be interesting to see what it's like come November (we're going back). Dinner and breakfast excellent! Will book a more upmarket room next time as the view from... More

I did not book a hotel for Inverary, but I stopped to have lunch there. I went into the bar area where they served lunch. It was lighter fare so I had an egg mayonnaise and with and tomato basil soup. It was delicious! I looked up the in and found they had a couple of rooms, so I stayed... More

We arrived late, but as the chef still hadn't left, we still got a late dinner. My fish and chips were a bit drier than I prefer, but tasty. Salad was crispy and fresh, and the cask Ales well kept. New owners have recently taken over, and renovations will probably happen, as it is both old and dated. Still, beds... More

we stayed here recently for less than half the price of our friends who stayed in The George. Yes, it is not as luxurious, but very comfortable and clean and lovely welcoming staff. The breakfast was great too. Will most definitely return.
