I eat regularly in the Anchor Hotel, and have to say that the Haddock is the best you will find in the North East of Scotland, which means also it is the best you will find in the whole of the UK. Not bad for a village pub!

This is a great little bar, in an area where there aren't many good places to eat. It's the fresh lobster that you should aim for - if it's on the menu. Great wine list - lobster and Sauvignon blanc and I am in heaven. Great place for a walk followed by a pub lunch.

We stayed here during a visit to Montrose. The room was very small and cramped but but nicely decorated and more importantly it was clean. There were no surfaces to put anything on or any room for bags or cases as the width of the room was basically the bed and two side tables then the wall. It looked recently...

The cottage is huge with a large kitchen / dining area and large living space on the ground floor. Upstairs there are two large bedrooms with multiple beds including a double, twins, additional single beds and a pull out sofa. Lots...
