We had a fantastic stay at the Marcliffe. Our welcome was first class. The room all we were looking for with lovely views of the gardens. The bar is brilliant with great decor. Anna served us some great gin and tonics. The piano is covered in photographs of personalities and was enhanced when a guest in bar treated us to... More

Stayed 2 nights at this hotel just outside the downtown area of Aberdeen. The travel agent was a bit surprised we wanted to include Aberdeen in our journey around Scotland as he warned us that it was rather commercial and was not as pretty as other cities. Since my mother was born here and came to the States as a... More

Lovely hotel set in beautiful grounds. Super comfortable beds. Nothing is too much trouble. The only criticism is that the hotel is so busy with afternoon teas, hotel guests can struggle to get a table for lunch. We had to wait for them to find a seat in the restaurant for us. When all we wanted was a quick bite... More

Our first impressions were great. A lovely welcome at reception, before being taken to our room. All the rooms are named after castles, ours was Dunrobin. On entry to the room the first thing I noticed was the stale, sweaty smell! Bit off putting, it was if the room perhaps hadn't been used in a whil. I didn't want to... More

I have eaten here many times during various functions but this was my first time for a family dinner. My son graduation. The whole experience was fantastic with impeccable service. We had a great family celebration but it was a bit on the pricey side. Surf and turf was £70 per head and although it was very good it was... More

I attend a few networking business events here per year as part of work and my personal development and have never been disappointed. Recently we went for dinner for two and were impressed by the our experience - food was delicious and superb.A few days later I was in again for an event - that was fantastic too -and I... More

I'm still not sure if this hotel lives up to it's past. We sat at the entry and the young man inside the doorway didn't budge. It was not until we are at the desk did he ask if we wanted our bags brought in from the car. Bedroom is beautiful and bed was very comfortable but carpet had a... More

My family and I always come here on special occasions to the restaurant and have never been let down! it is always the number one choice in the house! May appear pricey but it is 100% worth the money. Excellent food- amazing flavours which challenge your taste buds. You can clearly tell the chefs's their all into the food. Also... More

Stayed overnight in the Crathes Room down the stairs at the rear of the lounge. Great room looking out into the garden away from the main part of the bedrooms. Quiet, clean, spacious and comfortable. Worth the extra cost. Very convenient for the lounge bar and the restaurant but no noise from either at night

Just love sitting in the big sofas and having a beautiful lunch with nice staff serving. Lots of easy parking just outside Aberbeen. The food is always good quality,I prefer the lounge to the dining room.
