Stayed here for the second time as my partner and I were attending a wedding in Aberdeen. My partner checked in at 1700 with no issues and was happy with the room. I arrived after work at 1am and Unfortunatly the small car park was full (To be expected I suppose at that hour). I had to park in the... More

My wife and i visited this hotel for two nights 16th to 18th july 2016, we travelled up on the train from Kirkcaldy fife, just stepped of train into union square shopping centre, and then only two minute walk along to market street to Douglas hotel. we were welcomed by very polite reception staff and given room 319, the room... We were due to go to a gig in Aberdeen and I saw this place was only about 5 mins walk from the gig venue. It was only £65 for the night including breakfast which I thought was very reasonable. The room we got was huge, it had a double bed as well as a single, a sofa, desk, tv... More

We were astonished by the lovely big sleigh type wooden bed. The room was very clean, the bed comfy and breakfast was excellent. Every staff member we met was polite and friendly. The location is great for buses and trains.

This is a nice hotel but it is in a not so good location. It is walking distance (two blocks) from the train depot, but it is crowded and bit unsightly outside the hotel. The elevator is extremely small. You can only fit two people in it with one suitcase each. The food is so-so. The reception staff were great.... More

Can't get much closer to the centre than this. Nice double room with a cracking power shower. Friendly helpful staff. Car parking fills fast £5 / night. If it's full.ncp carpark it is £16 overnight. As at the front desk for the discount ticket to get 25% off.

Apart from a rather frightening parking lot (tight spaces on a fairly steep incline), this is anice hotel. The room was fine--and there was an elevator to get to it, of which there is never any guarantee in the UK, it seems!--staff were helpful (I was especially impressed by the wait staff in the breakfast room), and the buffet breakfast... The room was comfortable and spacious with a good TV and tea coffee facilities. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was plentiful. Dinner in the bistro was very nice and the room service was excellent. What let this hotel down was the windows. They are single glazed and my room was on the main street outside. Heard every vehicle... More

Booked this hotel at an absolutely bargain price (never knew what the room rate was but looked nice) The hotel is in an excellent position being only a couple of minutes from the train & bus station and also within a few minutes of the Merchants quarter and Union street gardens. The staff are super friendly and absolutely accommodating whatever... More
