My husband and I stayed here the night we got married and my god - we have never met nicer staff. Mr. Jordan and Mr. Stephane offered us two complimentary glasses of champagne upon hearing. We did show up in our wedding outfits so that helped 😂 they even insisted on carrying our bags to our room for us. We had just gotten into the room we booked when they knocked on our door and offered to upgrade us to one of their two honeymoon suites for free! We simply couldn't believe it. The room was stunning. The bed was ultra soft and the toiletries were lovely. We enjoyed our champagne in that beautiful room and had an absolutely unbelievable and luxurious stay. Before we changed out of our outfits Mr. Jordan even took photos of us on the beautiful hotel stairs, in the library, and around the grounds outside. The staff here truly go above and beyond. Thank you to those at the amazing Norwood Hotel for all that you've done for us. We can never fully express our gratitude 🥰…
We held our wedding at the Norwood last week & if we could give it 100 stars, we would!! Not only is it a picture perfect setting (you would never know how close to the city you are - feels like you are in the middle of the countryside), the staff work tirelessly to create your perfect wedding vision. Nothing was a problem for them. We are full of admiration and gratitude and take away the best memories. We should also add, our guests are still raving about the food (we had 160+ guests - the food was not compromised by mass catering; it was as good as it was during our tasting session, absolutely delicious!). We can’t recommend the Norwood enough, be it for a wedding, function or a nice meal.
I stayed here for one night for a business trip and I only experienced the lobby and the bedroom. The positives were that I felt that it was comfortable and clean. Also, I thought that the staff were friendly. I imagine that this hotel was luxurious in the 1970's but for today's standards the extremely dated decor gives off less than four star vibes. The hallway to room 55 felt like something from The Shining, minus the scary children. The smell and decor reminded me a bit of my grandmother's home. The walls were thin and I could hear my neighbour's late night movie very clearly from my bed. Overall, I was pleased to stay in a comfy bed but I thought that the room was overpriced for what it was.
I recently attended a big Scottish wedding at this hotel, staying for 4 nights' I can't recommend this place highly enough & the entire experience was superb. The ambience was perfect, the whole place had a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, he bedrooms were huge & superb & the food was excellent. The wedding event went like clockwork for the entire day & the families of the lovely couple said that everyone involved with them from the hotel just couldn't do enough to ensure that everything was just perfect. Cant wait to attend any christenings there in the future.
Just returned from a 3 day midweek break at Norwood Hall with my partner and the dog. Firstly the hotel is set in impressive grounds and gives you an immediate feel good factor that sets you up nicely for your break.. Check in staff were courteous and friendly and ready to help with any queries you had. We had a Deluxe Room, which was clean, spacious and very comfortable and had everything that you require for your stay. Because we had a dog we couldn't dine in the restaurant, but the hotel set us up in a lovely area and that worked really well and this certainly didn't diminish our dining experience. In fact, the service provided when serving dinner was excellent. They also have a separate Dog menu which is excellent and from our experience they do take care of your four legged friend very well. All in all a wonderful break and we will certainly return again.…
Stayed here for 2 nights using an ITISON voucher and it was wonderful. The venue has a great ambience with lots of comfortable seats and nice grounds. Check-in staff were friendly. The room was clean, well appointed with a large bed, shower and bath. After checking in we sat in the bar/lounge and had a nice relaxing cup of tea. We then had a really nice 2 course dinner in the restaurant with 2 glasses of wine. Our only comment is that there was no bottled water in the room so we drank the tap water.
Came for overnight stay/ drinks/ dinner for wife’s birthday. Lovely comfortable room, very quiet so sleep quality excellent. Ate in tapestry restaurant which was very good with excellent service. Staff all extremely helpful and welcoming
Where do I begin … we thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at Norwood Hall. The hotel is a gem and we loved the history and attention to detail. The setting and location is spectacular! The staff at reception are amazing and our welcome and interaction was exceptional. Everyone was eager to share information about the hotel. Staff from housekeeping to the dining room were all friendly and helpful. We even enjoyed fireworks one evening thanks to a wedding at the hotel – an unexpected treat. We booked a deluxe double room category but were upgraded to a super deluxe king in a quieter area of the hotel because of spring weddings – thank you reception!! A wonderful room with a very comfortable king bed and a quiet room. There is no A/C in the hotel which wasn’t bad at this time of year but the room was warm at 23 C given it was May. There was counter space, a love seat, chair and table in the room. Wi Fi was excellent, we had a very strong signal in our room. Breakfast was a buffet with fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries and hot items on busy weekend wedding days. Otherwise breakfast is ordered from the menu in the dining room, which is a spectacular room to start the day in. Parking is easy and we had a terrific stay – so happy we chose Norwood Hall Hotel.…
I loved our recent stay at Norwood,it has a great atmosphere with cosy fires lit, and very friendly staff. We had dinner at the restaurant, food was great and service was excellent. Room was spacious , comfortable and very nice, with a lovely big bathroom. The whole hotel is impressive as a historical building and is restored beautifully. Absolutely enjoyed our stay at Norwood and would love to return.
My daughter and I recently returned from a two night break at this magnificent hotel with loads of history and surrounded by beautiful gardens. We had a fabulous first floor room in the main part of the hotel which boasted a huge bathroom with roll top bath and walk-in shower cubicle. Staff were all very attentive and nothing was too much trouble to them. We dined in the Tapestry restaurant both evenings and couldn't fault the quality of the food on offer. I would thoroughly recommend this lovely traditional hotel on the outskirts of Aberdeen.
