Booked 2 nights. Our room was almost up to Premier Inn standard but at more than double the price. Dinner was good but again no better than many of our local hostelries and at least double the price. Not the luxurious treat we were hoping for just an overwhelming feeling of being ripped off. Left after one night.

Visited this hotel for a spa break for the weekday wellness package. Hotel is beautiful, our room was very comfy. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Spa treatment was lovely, and it was very relaxing in the poor area. Food was great and Excellent variety on offer for breakfast. All in all a great night away. Only negative would be the cost of drinks in the bar but there was a fridge in the room so we were able to chill some wine we had taken with us!

I have visited twice within the past month and both of my visits have been fantastic. Kelsey, one of the staff members, is a delightful, enthusiastic and very friendly individual who is a credit to have working there. She made my visits, on both occasions, perfect from start to finish going above and beyond to make our visit the best possible experience. Special thank you to her!

There were issues with no staff being available at check in as the receptionist was on the phone, and there was already another person waiting to be seen when we arrived. It was a good 5 minutes before a gentleman came out from the back to serve us both. Similarly at check out, I arrived to an empty desk, and waited as there was no bell or any means of making someone aware that I was there. Another lady came and began waiting too, she eventually got frustrated and went to get someone from the restaurant. The woman from the restaurant came and went in to the back, a minute or so later the receptionist came out to serve me. No apology or a sorry for keeping me waiting, so I simply paid and left. The main issue however was in the restaurant. We were seated quickly and the waitress took our drinks order of 2 cocktail. Shortly after she came back and told us there was nobody able to make cocktails?? I then asked for the beer / wine menu and was given another excuse, in the end we ordered a bottle of wine. We placed our dinner orders and I asked for "No Red Onion" on my meal, the waitress wrote this down, yet when my meal came from the kitchen it had Red Onions on it. As the waitress was clearing the table she leant over to reach my side and knocked over my wife's glass of wine. She apologised and came back with a cloth to mop the table. She didn't however offer to replace the glass of wine that was spilt. I left it a good 10 minutes, then got the attention of a waiter whom I explained the incident to, I asked him for a complimentary glass of wine to replace the one that was spilt. In a hotel of this calibre I would not expect to have had to ask for a replacement glass of wine. Though that said I would also have expected somebody to be available to make cocktails too. The waiting staff felt very inexperienced and this meal stained the whole visit for me as I was left extremely annoyed, it felt very much like 2 star service with 5 star prices.

Lovely hotel , nice entrance , room just been refurbished, nice bathroom , was a deal of £175 for room dinner and breakfast for 2, went for dinner and the menu was full of supplements for the mains min extra £8 on top , choice of 3 starters that were part of deal , as were the desserts , pointless having a all in deal of getting charged a hefty price on top , service was good , not had the breakfast yet , so deal is a joke , had a pint of beer and a Morgan’s / coke , 2 packets of crisps at a cost of over £17 , if they offer a deal they should give you the meal included not rip you off with supplements
