I was very grateful to hotel staff who found my lost mobile phone and the night porter got the phone back to me within an hour. The staff are always polite and efficient and the rooms are of a good standard I would recommend this hotel .

Room was basic however since our last stay this room has been updated in decor. Furniture remains old and outdated and doesn’t match decor of room. Broken tiles in bathroom Breakfast poor cooked food rubbery, hard dried up bacon and cheap sausages. Poor continental. Cheese hard and sweating. No pots of yoghurt just a small dish for everyone to take a little of. Surely in these times individual pots would be more satisfactory. Staff not very attentive especially the breakfast waitress when I asked for fresh cheese. No cooked meat selection and only a glass jar of tea bags again for everyone’s hands to touch and no decaf tea or coffee available. Dining area very cold Lift broken worked sometimes advised staff of this and told it works now and then and they are awaiting an engineer. Corridor outside room 111 smelt heavily of cigarette smoke and weed. Did not report this as no staff available on reception at the time. Unsure what was happening on the Sunday morning at 3am as we were woken with a commotion happening outside of our door. Check in is late 3pm and checkout is early 11am compared to other hotels. We were given the option to pay an extra £30 to have this luxury. Hotel is in a great location for travelling, shopping, theatres and eating out. No option to air our views on checkout as cards were taken and told that’s fine bye. We did however get our luggage stored before check in and on our departure. There was no leeway on checking in early at all as even when we arrived back at the hotel at 320pm we had to wait to see if our room was ready. Overall you get what you pay for but breakfast was the most disappointing part of our two night stay No designated smoking area so when you walk out of main door you are engulfed with cigarette smoke.

Booked a room and honestly it was awful. The condition was terrible. Beds were so uncomfortable and we we left without staying over. Extremely disappointed and it was shockingly bad. I'd advise to avoid at all costs.
