The room was lovely in a Georgian styled house, very spacious and clean. It was in a great location within walking distance of city centre and quiet at the same time. Had lovely breakfast each morning, kitchen staff were very friendly as was Peter. Joan on the other hand must have been in bad form as we found her to... More

As with most B&B's for me, EXPERIENCE far outweighs my accommodations, at least if the accommodations are clean. Our room was TINY, but managed to squeeze in a bathroom and a closet that accommodated 3 hangers. But, Oh, the EXPERIENCES! The Saddler's House is arranged a bit like a row house. We entered into a little reception area. Steps down... More

The facility is well situated a few blocks from the main tourist areas. As others have mentioned, the rooms are smaller and the bathrooms are the smallest we have experienced during our travels in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Breakfasts are cooked to order and Joan oversees the breakfast to everyone's satisfaction.

My friend and I were given a small room with two beds and an ensuite bath facing the street. The room was clean if a little stuffy. Opening the window helped some but with no screen, a few flies and moths also came in. There was also some noise from the street but fortunately, it didn't last long. The ensuite... More

What a wonderful location in this most interesting of towns. Joan as soon as I got talking to her felt she was my friend. She and Peter are a most gracious couple. If you want a bland modern room then this is not for you. We had a smallish room with a tiny ensure but quite adequate for our overnight... More

We stayed two nights having struggled to get anywhere that was convenient to the centre. We booked this more by accident. The room was small but fine for us. The most wonderful thing for us was the convenience and breakfast. Long may those continue, and I might try to do the apple dish at home. The hosts were very friendly... More

I booked this for our daughter. From the moment I spoke with Peter I was reassured that it was a good choice. The B&B is very central and was full of original features. Our daughter was unwell during her visit and Peter and Joan could not have been kinder. It felt like staying with family.

We stayed here for one night. The facilities are comfortable but the bedrooms/baths somewhat dated. Joan was friendly and helpful with recommendations. We were served breakfast at the Merchant's House which seemed to be a step up. No major complaints and would stay again.

The Sadder House is a wonderful value and located near most tourist regions in Derry. Once you arrive, you must find parking on the street for the overnight. We were very lucky to get a spot and felt that our vehicle would be safe overnight. We were warmly greeted and promptly shown to our room along with some pleasant conversation... More

My cousin and I stayed in this charming B and B for 4 days. The owners were gracious and helpful, a retired history professor and his wife. The hotel is clean and very nicely decorated. Bathroom was tiny but that is common in Europe. The breakfast room was lovely and sunny, and the full Irish breakfast cooked to order was... More
