It was a very hot day when I arrived but Jim welcomed me with a pot of tea, biscuits and freshly made bread and jam. Dymphna introduced me to Derry's history via her father's book about growing up in the city in the 1930s and 40s. A fascinating and moving story. Excellent breakfast; great fellow-guests; very helpful and kind hosts.

We were given a very warm welcome by the owners, who gave us very useful tips to visit Derry and the surrounding areas. The breakfast was wonderful. We would definitely stay here again. Very recommended!!

My husband and I spent a very enjoyable stay at this bed and breakfast. We had a bright comfortable room and an excellent nicely presented breakfast. We would definately recommend this bed and breakfast.

After years of seeing the various places in Ireland, finally got to Derry. Read the reviews of Caw Cottage and was pleased that they had a vacancy. Welcomed warmly by Jim and Dee, a very comfortable room and lovely breakfast. The best part was the hospitality and insights into Derry and the surrounding area. A genuine pride in the city... More

My wife, 3 children and myself stayed at Caw Cottage for 1 night sat/sun. I cannot praise the owners Jim and Dympna enough. Right from the off we were made to feel right at home and the children loved the place that much they didn't want to go out for dinner so we got a take away from one of... More

My wife and I had a most wonderful few days in Derry, each one beginning with a delicious breakfast. I could not resist the full Irish, while my wife opted for the smoked salmon and scrambled egg, both of which set us up for the rest of the day. Nothing was too much trouble for Dee and Jim, whether it... More

A warm welcome to match a warm late summer's day. Dee and Jim gave us invaluable insights into Derry's past, then Dee drove us around the city pointing out where many key events had taken place. They also recommended three restaurants and the one we chose, Quay West, was excellent. After dinner and a walk around the walls we slept... More

Dee and Jim were the very best host and hostess when we stayed with them at Caw Cottage. We were exhausted when we arrived but their hospitality revitalized our energy! They are a delightful couple who provided us with the very best accommodations! In addition, they were a wealth of knowledge and willing to share with us. Our first evening... More

Jim and Dee were fantastic! They dried or clothes for us bc we were soaked from hiking when we arrived, offered us food and coffe-tea, showed us around. Then Dee despite my insisting she didn't need to get me wine, came out with a chilled bottle of white and told us to feel free to play some of her father's... More

Decided to stay close to Derry airport due to an early morning flight and wanted to avoid the 1 Hr 45 mins drive from our original location. Searched the usual websites and found nothing that suited, then looked on Trip Advisor and found this little gem. Dee and Jim are perfect hosts. We arrived just after 6pm last night, after... More
