Anne-Marie, thank you for being the perfect host. Our accommodation was clean and comfortable. Free tea and coffee, towels and a cereal breakfast included was a bonus for us as travelling light on our bikes. Ideal location for Rathlin Ferry. Thank you also for our washing. You are a superstar.

I had the pleasure of staying in this hostel which is opposite the beach, a green area and the ferry to Rathlin Island. Annmarie the owner couldn't have been more welcoming and we were lucky enough to be given a room with a great view. The room was adequate with the usual bunk bed, shelves, sink and easy access to... I recently stayed over at Ballycastle Backpackers as part of a group of 13 cyclists cycling from Derry to Larne. Having had varying experiences of staying in Backpackers and having stayed in a lovely golf resort the previous evening, it was with some trepidation I approached this accommodation. I couldnt have been more wrong. Ann Marie and her husband couldnt... More

Charles many thanks for the kind review, maybe someday you will get to return. I hope you had not too many aches and pains by the time you got to the ferry! Best wishes to all the lads and thanks for choosing to stay at Ballycastle Backpackers. More

Ballycastle Backpackers has a "cottage" facing its small inner courtyard - basically, a two story apartment with two bedrooms and its own entry. If you like having a place to spread out a bit more (there were three of us - two small bedrooms each with a bath), cook your own meals, and even have a little fire, this works.... More

Thank you for submitting your review. Firstly can I just say your review should have been for Joe Charlie's Cottage where you stayed instead of the Backpackers even though they are both on the same complex they are individual businesses. Anyway I wish you had said about ' the little things' when you were here. Yes the Wifi can be... More

I describe it as wheelchair friendly because none of our group of friends need disability access but I assume wheelchair users may like to know how accessible it is. Moving on, brilliant friendly service, spacious clean private rooms and dormitory style rooms that were also very private and secure. Very clean with modern decor.Lovely sitting area up stairs with great... More

Very high quality standard for a backpackers hotel. Lovely room, warm and silent. Perfect location on the sea front. Close to nice coffee shops and pubs, in the lovely town of Ballycastle where everybody is nice and friendly!

Anne Marie's hospitality is beyond words. She was very kind and welcoming. Her place is kept very clean and the accommodations exceeded my expectations. My room was quite and comfortable. The location is across from the beach. The ferry is a 2 min walk. Pizza, ice cream, pubs all right there, but yet your stay with Anne Marie is quiet... More

The Backpackers is far more than a hostel. It is warm, comfortable, tastefully decorated has a very well equiped kitchen. The host is very friendly and welcoming. She was extremely helpful and gave me lots of information about the area. The location of the hostel is excellent, across the road from the beautiful Ballycastle beach, while being close to all...
