The Merchant knows how to do it. I've been to many hotels and I don't think anywhere else matches the service and quality of stay as here. I have stayed a few times for special treats with the latest stay exceptional as expected. We were given a complementary upgrade upon check-in and the art deco suite was superb. Luxury finishes and really comfortable. Enjoyed an Afternoon Tea which was lovely, and a 3-course dinner in The Great Room that evening as part of our stay package. The food and service in the restaurant is 10/10. Fine dining yet great portions, the flavours and textures were unreal. So enjoyable. The breakfast was probably the best I've had in a hotel. They do a table service a-la-carte breakfast and the ingredients in the full cooked breakfast are high quality. The staff are professional yet very friendly, and do the brand a great service. We were treated very well. Highly recommended <3

We took our 2 daughters for afternoon tea and we were blown away. The staff were impeccable from the moment we arrived, they were friendly and attentive, whilst adhering to all Covid guidelines. The food was amazing, the girls faces lit up when the tea stands arrived. The sandwiches were delicate, delicious and an interesting variety which both our daughters loved. Followed by scones, decadent clotted cream and smooth flavoursome jam. The piece de resistance though was the beautiful array of pastries which we were able to take home and enjoy later that day (as we were too full to eat any more in the great room) which made the experience even more enjoyable. Excellant value for money and a truly wonderful experience.

Stayed at The Merchant for a special occasion and it was out of this world. Complimentary upgrade on arrival and a complimentary glass of champagne on arrival into Berts Bar. The room was superior and the bath was like a swimming pool. The staff were friendly and helpful and took care and attention to every detail. Our appreciation to our server Kate who took us to the Residents Lounge after our meal out and gave us some interesting facts about the hotel. The three course breakfast was extraordinary and it was the best service I have experienced in Belfast. Will definitely be back!

From the rooms, food, atmosphere and fantastic breakfast in the morning, to the brilliant staff who cannot do enough to make your stay a wonderful experience! Can’t wait to go again💕💕
