The hotel itself was very good, it was more the location that was the let down. There is not a lot of choices regarding restaurants and bars around which leaves you with a limited menu and the hotel bar.More

Northern Ireland is pretty undeveloped tourist wise. It's part of the charm, you see it as it is and not a faked for tourist thing.
The downside is, there are not a lot of tour bus things and I don't know any that stop regularly at hotels.
On the upside, there are a couple of companies big and small that run tours. Some of the smaller ones might pick people up at prearranged point if you ask. Most just start in the centre of the city and it's an easy bus / taxi ride from the hotel.
Check out Odyssey Coach tours, translink (the public transport company) or web search for the north coast game of thrones tour.
To be honest, it would probably be better to rent a car and do your own thing. Cost wouldn't be much different, easy to navigate and once your out of the city the roads have easy traffic. The A2 road up the coast is one of the islands great roads and is used on the odd driving to show. Message me if you want ideas of where to stop for a look.
