It is some years since I was in Belfast and eaten at the Ivanhoe. The upgrades they have made is spectatular. The food, service and style of the place was really great. A nice relaxing environment that really hit the spot. The staff were all proud to be working at the Ivanhoe which is a credit to the management. I... More

Booked for Fri & Sat night stay. On arrival hotel looks lovely, receptionist was pleasant on check in. Only comment is we weren't told about breakfast times or check out times while checking in. Our room was dated, I'd say the rooms may be next to be done in the refurbishment. Our room was clean and tidy, bathroom had a... More

I'm really sorry to hear that you would not consider returning to The Ivanhoe for the reasons given in your review. You're quite right when you say that the bedrooms are next to be refurbished...as I'm sure you can appreciate, these things have to be done in stages and as you mentioned, the rest of the hotel has been completed... I am a veggie and always disappointed that the majority of restaurants in NI only serve one veggie option usually dairy loaded and chips- so I was very impressed with the Ivanhoe as they have a dedicated vegan menu and their daily menu has a continually changing veggie option (so u always get something different)- the food was fresh and... We had a lovely family meal. The menu was excellent and, if you ask, there is even a vegan menu! The vegan menu had several main course dishes, all of which looked very appetising. My wife and I each had a different one and they were both delicious. Service is usually very good in the Ivanhoe and tonight was no... More

My family and I went for the sunday carvery and were very pleased with the whole experience. There were 8 of us (5 adults and 3 children) the children were given crayons and books almost immediately which was a great idea. The food was just wonderful and when the children wanted something which was not on display the staff very... More

Loved this place. Just refurbished and looks amazing. Food was lovely but felt a but pushed to finish especially as it was only 2:30 and they were open till 5. Children were catered for and free. High chairs set up before even entering the room. Great service.

Very Comfortably run - large bedrooms and bathrooms - great staff and nothing too much. Helpful receptionists and housekeeping. Generous meals in restaurant. Pleasant bar. Although in suburbs - convenient Petrolstation and Spar supermarket.

Had Sunday Carvery here a few weeks ago. Staff greeted us and talked us through the set up. There was plenty of choice for each course. The starter consisted of a range of cold options and also a soup too. For mains there was a range of meat, potatoes, veg and sauces. For dessert there was a table with loads... More
