This hotel was booked for me by Queen's University as it is very close. It was perfectly clean, the staff were extremely helpful, and the breakfast was freshmade and delicious. The bed was up there with the best I've slept in in any hotel, a real exception in Europe where I find bed quality highly variable. Strongly recommend!

Greeted on the street to advise on parking the first impression matched the whole stay The rooms though smallish were perfect for a couple . clean and comfortable. Just around the corner from a bustling neighbour full of pubs and cafes and the University but it is only a short bus or drive into central Belfast. There is also a... More

Had a wonderful stay at the Tara Lodge while I attended a conference and the awesome front desk crew helped my wife figure out day trips and tours. Very quiet and close to the Botanic Gardens which made for some great walks along the trip. 24 Hour front desk team was outstanding!

I stayed alone at this hotel to attend a local wedding. The receptionists and restaurant staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, my room was very clean and well equipped and the breakfasts were wonderful. There are many restaurants nearby and I enjoyed a pleasant walk in the nearby Botanic Gardens. Highly recommended

I organised a surprise weekend for my husband here. The staff were great. They rang me to find out our approximate arrival time so the chocolate covered strawberries and champagne would be put out just before. We arrived also to some Irish chocolates and a hand written birthday card. Breakfast was included and lovely! Try the whiskey porridge! Great location,... More

Hotel was very clean and room was nice and breakfast was very filling. Unfortunately in July we had warm weather making opening windows a necessity which allowed the train noise from the Botanic Station to come into our room every 15 min. A ceiling fan would have helped . Staying in other cooler months would not be a problem. Staff... More

Traveled with 72yo mother and booked 2 rooms based on trip advisor. You will not be disappointed. Location - on a side street, so it is somewhat quiet for a city. You are 100 yards from several bars/restaurants/ATMs/pharmacy/grocery/off license stores. Taxi / bus / train all within walking distance. Somewhat younger crowd as it is about 1/2 mile from college.... More

Everything about this hotel was superb, would highly recommend it, great value for money The staff members were excellent. Back of hotel was quieter, street noise could be an issue for some. Good location, close to restaurants (Scalini's , highly recommend this), train station only 2 minute walk, buses and cabs very close by.

Tara Lodge has the sweetest staff folks, totally friendly and helpful, from start to finish. Although we were only in town for less than 24 hours, they booked us the last tour time at the Titanic Museum (after calling around to check the actual closing time, since different sites listed different Sunday hours) so that it was simple when we...
