Say goodbye to the traditional hotel model! We believe that travellers deserve better than £25 buffet breakfasts, extortionate laundry prices, slow patchy wifi and ‘purple carpeted’ restaurants and bars. At the Flint, we provide beautifully designed rooms and the best beds. Plain and simple.

We stayed in a studio at The Flint, and it was spacious and comfortable. The hotel is in a remodelled and renovated older building— the floor of our studio was a really interesting mix of concrete and parquetry giving some idea of its past use. The area was divided into a bedroom adjoining a sitting/ dining area, a separate kitchen area, and a good bathroom, decorated in bold colours and modern design features. The bed was very comfortable, the large smart TV easy to watch, and the kitchen well equipped, perfectly capable of supporting any cooking needs for the two occupants. The bathroom had an excellent rain shower. The hotel offers complimentary “ breakfast in a bag” ( juice, an apple, and yogurt with granola) hung on your door before morning, or a cooked breakfast at a restaurant next door for £10. The hotel is near a station, plenty of pubs and restaurants , and near the newest shopping area in town. We thought The Flint was really good— it lacked only a bar , in house dining and room service if that’s your thing!

Stayed for 4 nights 24/8 - 28/8. Excellent friendly staff, stunning modern immaculate accommodation with cooking and dining space, and pristine large bathroom . Great size TV with streaming access / Guest Netflix etc. Complimentary breakfast bag (yoghurt, granola, apples). Strong Wi-Fi. Great views (6th floor), accessible shared laundry area, close to all amenities, transport to airport, tour collection points, and short walk to the market and most of the Quarters. Great restaurant / bar Flame’ next door. I highly recommend The Flint and look forward to staying there again. :)

Brilliantly simple hotel that has everything you need including the kitchen sink (hob, fridge, microwave too!). Comfortable beds, good bed linen, no fuss reception area and breakfast in a bag delivered to our room each day. Well situated in Belfast. Excellent!

The hotel is perfect location steps away from the train station , stayed here and enjoyed so much we stay the next night which was no problem . The room was spotless and had more than enough facilities. You could not go wrong for the price either. The staff were super helpful with our bags and helping with trips . Definitely return. Very modern .

This hotel is well located in the centre of town and a short distance from the main train and bus station. Many good restaurants and bars are a short walk away. The first impression is positive. The lobby is small but smartly decorated. The staff at the front desk are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, we were somewhat disappointed when we first entered our room, primarily due to the rank smell emanating from the bathroom. I don't know if it was due to mould or clogged pipes (possible, as the sink would fill up with water even with the stopper fully open and the toilet sometimes took up to 4 flushes to fully flush). We left the bathroom window open for the entirety of our stay, and we kept the door to the bathroom closed. That helped quite a bit. Although the room is smartly decorated and would look good in photos, in person it feels quite dark and depressing. The double bed was small and was weirdly pushed to one side of the room. Though the kitchen was nice to have, it reminded me of the many depressing studio flats I lived in earlier in life. They promised access to Netflix and Amazon, but we could never get the Netflix or even the iPlayer apps to work on the TV. After trying a bit, the TV always showed an error. The wifi was free but sometimes slow. I found it was usually better to use my own data. There is quite a bit of noise from the main street outside and from the dumpsters in the back. The church across the street rings its bells a lot, which is either charming or annoying depending how late you want to sleep. On the good side, the bed was comfortable and the room seemed clean. Many travellers would find the kitchen to be quite handy. If you leave a paper bag outside the door in the evening, then they leave you free fruit, yogurt and juice for the morning. There was also a free small milk in the fridge. If you prefer a larger breakfast, they have a deal for a reduced rate with the restaurant next door. I might have enjoyed my stay a lot more if we had a different room. Coworkers stayed in the hotel at the same time. One mentioned a smell in her room as well, but the others did not. I think this is a nice hotel for people travelling on business who will be staying several nights. It is not a good choice if you are a tourist looking for a more luxurious experience.
