We had an excellent stay in the Grand Central with family. Service was excellent. We had a drink in the lounge before dinner in The Seahorse Restsursnt and cocktails in The Observatory after dinner. On this occasion, we only had one night in Belfast and decided to spend the evening “chilling” in the hotel. The 3 different ‘venues’ within the hotel made us feel as if we had been on a ‘night out’ rather than ‘night in’. Disappointed that Poona player didn’t turn up but this wasn’t’ the hotel’s fault.

My boyfriend and I stayed and had such a lovely night, from the beautiful room to the incredible view in the observatory. The doormen were so welcoming and so friendly, they really added a special touch. Would definitely recommend.

Checked in for one night. Got our room early which was nice. Nice clean room. Very disappointed that we couldn't get into the top bar it's why we booked the hotel. At 9.45pm we had a wait 30/40min to get a seat and they offered for us to sit in reception. I didn't want to sit in reception so asked if we could be called from our room when a table became available and the answer was no. Didn't understand this at all. So we just went to our room. We left a really nice bar to go back to the hotel bar. So our night was over and to make it a bit more disappointing was it was my birthday. The breakfast is awful they have made no improvement on it from our last visit. It was a tiny buffet with not much else. And it was tasteless slop. They have one toaster so the que es out the door. During these times it's just not acceptable. Service was awful at Breakfast too. This hotel used to have a niece atmosphere and flawless service but it's definitely gone down hill. Standards are average. Absolutely won't be returning again. Will stay at the Fitzwilliams.

Dear Guest Thank you for your feedback and comments. We are sorry you were disappointed by aspects of your stay. In relation to the observatory bar, unfortunately whilst residents are prioritised, there may be a wait on available tables. As this bar is accessed via the ground floor this is why guests are asked if busy to take a seat in the reception area or Grand Cafe whilst a table is being prepared. In relation to breakfast we are sorry to read that you found the breakfast to be disappointing, This feedback has been shared with the team so that they might improve. Kind Regards Stephen

Hotel is in an ideal location for exploring some of Belfast's finest eateries. The views from observatory are amazing....the same can not be said of the drink prices! Hotel is clean, luxurious and all staff were pleasant and welcoming. Only issue was that bathroom drawer fell off during the night. No doubt this will be fixed for the next guests to arrive.

Thank you for your feedback and comments We are delighted that overall you enjoyed your stay. I am sorry that the bathroom drawer fell off. I believe this to be the under counter false drawer which is a towel rail which may have came off. With best wishes Stephen

First time staying in the grand central hotel. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, especially John at the door who was first to greet us and last to see us out. We had lovely chats with him…absolute gentleman. The room was beautiful and had amazing views from the 12th floor. The observatory was stunning, we enjoyed drinks alongside the attentive service, not to mention the spectacular view of the city at night! Overall favourite hotel and we plan to be back very soon. Thankyou
