This is a fantastic place in the Victoria Quarter of Belfast. Very close to the bus and train station and many great restaurants and bars. Staff is great! Complimentary Irish breakfast is robust although the exact same every day..They also have a restaurant and bar. Rooms are a wee bit small but otherwise nice and they clean the room every day! Rates are very reasonable! Will be back!
We had a weekend break here last month, and apart from some minor issues it went smoothly. Hotel and room was spotlessly clean with ample sanitation stations around the place. The 2 girls on reception were clearly under pressure with all the check ins/outs, but coped very well and remained professional and courteous throughout. The 3 main staff( Sarah, Stephen and Micheal) we had dealings with were very professional, pleasant and helpful. Not as many housekeeping staff around as normal, but those who were carried out their tasks very well. Room power went out at one stage and we had it back on minutes after reporting it. Breakfast has to be pre-booked within a time slot, which may not suit everyone but it seems to work regarding social distancing. It's very clear that there are staff shortages and issues regarding clean linen etc. but considering we are just getting back on our feet with all businesses struggling with staff and resource issues I would still give this hotel full marks.…
Hotel was great. Loved the open lobby aspect of this hotel and how everything worked together. Waffle machines at breakfast were great. Staff were very pleasant and gave all the information you needed. Check in girl Lauren was super friendly and the management team were excellent when I had issues with my next hotel a massive thank you to Michael who contacted the hotel in London after numerous attempts of trying to get through and sorted out our reservation and got it reinstated for us! Without him we would have no where to stay. Also a thank you to Lauren who tried to email the hotel on Friday night to try and get us sorted but got no reply. Rooms very spacious and hotel is in a very good area. Will definitely be staying again.
Stayed here recently for 2 nights and couldn't really fault anything. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The lady that checked us in took the time to talk through some tourist attractions - recommendations, tours from the hotel, best times to go and what to look out for/avoid re pricing. She also recommended some restaurants, particularly if you like Indian, Italian and Steakhouses. The location of the hotel is fairly central with the main city centre a short walk away. There is also a train station beside the hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was busy but a wide variety of food available. Shower was decent. The only downside is the car park situation - this is noted on their advertisements and something that is known prior to booking but there is no parking on the grounds of the hotel as such. There is a multi-storey car park right next to the hotel which is available at a discounted £10 per night for guests of the hotel. There is also a small outdoor car park beside the hotel but I am not sure of the pricing here. Overall a modern hotel with a good location. Staff very friendly. Would stay again.…
Really enjoyed our stay here, spent 2 nights and the hotel was beautiful. Staff are fabulous and the breakfast was great. Waffles went down a real treat. Could do with more coffee machines as the queue in the mornings were quite bad. Great view of the mountains from our room. Reception and bar staff couldn’t of done enough from you. Well worth the money. Will for sure stay here again on my travels. This hotel has set the standards for the remainder of my trip around Ireland.
Stayed after the disaster I had in another hotel in Belfast. This was like wonderland compared to the other. Staff extremely friendly from Lauren on check in to Michael on check out both very informative and kind to our children. Hotels room was beautiful as attached in pictures. Planned our hop on hop off tower and the food was nice (kids meals free if you dine as an adult) will definitely be staying here again.
We stayed here for 4 nights. We ate breakfast for 4 mornings and had dinner in the hotel twice. On our last morning my husband was approached by a manager who berated him in front of our older children about the mess our son created with dry cereal and toast at breakfast time even taking him to the table and ranting about how unacceptable it was. She told him that all of her staff had complained about the mess he made numerous times since we arrived and whenever we ate in the hotel during our stay. When he explained the situation about our sons condition and how he crushes dry food before eating it which inevitably makes a mess she just said oh right. She did not even give an apology or say she would pass on the reason for his mess to staff. Our son is non verbal and to observe him it is clear that he is different from other children his age. If it was such an issue then we would have happily cleaned it ourselves should a sweeping brush/hoover be made available to do so. It was literally dry food as he uses a sippy cup to drink and only eats dry food. We even went late to have breakfast / quiet times for dinner as we were conscious of the need for tables to be used after us had we dined earlier in the morning. As a family we are deeply upset at the way the matter was handled. There are many stresses when bringing children with asd on holidays and disruption to their routine. However staff ignorance in the place we stayed in is not one that I expected.…
Quiet rooms and comfortable bed but the rooms were unfinished - wall wasn’t painted and when you’re paying a premium price the room should at least be finished. Breakfast was a bit hectic in the morning time - breakfast room needs more organisation.
Staff were amazing at this hotel me and my partner stayed for 3 nights and you couldn’t of faulted the service. You could tell the whole team is invested in ensuring their guests get a great service. Breakfast was great a lot of choices. Very good location it’s close to everything and right next door to the bus station. Will be visiting again.
I met a young man who was experiencing a difficult time to say the least and needed to book him into a hotel last minute on a Saturday night.. 5 or 6 hotels turned us away in judgement (no doubt about that). Hampton didn't!! In fact, without disclosing too much out of respect for the young man, the staff especially Victoria in reception, went ABOVE and Beyond amd I couldn't have a more grateful heart for what you done on Saturday and Sunday. This is the kind of hotel that you want to stay in with your family or friends. It also helps that its literally a few feet from train links. Room was lovely and spotless also and breakfast provided. From the bottom of my heart and on behalf of the young man staying, thankyou.
