Hotel's Favorite
This is an excellent well run Hotel, we arrived too early to check in so the Hotel took out suitcases to a secure room. They said breakfast was still being served and invited us to have one. I though that was a nice touch and we made our way to the breakfast area, you could have anything from fruit to cereal, cheese to a full cooked breakfast. It was lovely, our rooms were spacious with a really comfy double bed and range of pillows and a sofa bed. The shower was a generous side and there was good pressure. Although the Hotel is on the edge of the City Centre, it was around 5 minutes to some brilliant eating places, the Opera House and the World famous Crown Bar. The City Hall which is essentially in the centre of the City was 15 mins away. Belfast is a really great walkable City, do the sightseeing bus tour as you find some gems to visit. The service at this Hotel was excellent even though they are really busy, a lot of people stay here and I am nit surprised.

We loved this hotel. We stayed for two nights in December and were welcomes really well and they held our luggage until later in the day and held it again on the day we checked out until we left for our flight. The hotel itself is clean, modern and spacious. Our room was lovely and had the biggest bed I've ever seen in a hotel. The views out the window were also nice to Belfast and beyond. The location is also brilliant for the Europa Bus Station and Belfast itself, we loved walking and seeing all the buildings. There was lots of places to eat in the area however we went to the Wetherspoons round the corner each day as we knew it was so cheap and consistent!
The breakfast was the highlight though. That waffle maker made my entire year. I was stuffed every morning and couldn't wait to get to it again. We went down about 7:30 each day and there was hardly anybody down it was lovely and relaxing. The service from anybody we came into contact with was nothing but 10/10, including an engineer working in the room opposite! We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is coming to Belfast!

Hi Leah, Thank you so much for taking the time to write such an amazing review of your recent stay. It means so much to us to receive your lovely words and I look forward to sharing them with our teams. The waffles are truly amazing, but when you're here everyday, the temptation can be a bit much :) We hope you'll come back and visit us again and thank you for choosing to stay with us. I stayed here for two nights on a work visit and I couldn’t have asked for a better hotel. I would give it top marks in all categories including friendliness of staff, quality and comfort of the room, facilities, breakfast, and location.
Hamptons by Hilton is conveniently located in the city centre, with beautiful views of the black mountain. I took a bus from George Best Belfast City Airport to Europa Bus Station and found that the hotel was just a 5-minute walk away with lots of food places in the vicinity. It takes around 10-15 minutes max to walk from the hotel to all of the main attractions in the city including Cathedral Quarter, City Hall, and Victoria Square shopping centre in one direction and the botanical gardens in the other. I even walked back to the hotel from the Titanic Museum, which only took me 30 minutes.
With this being my very first visit to Belfast (and in Northern Ireland), I booked this hotel with absolutely no knowledge of the city and had no idea on what to expect. I was received with an extremely warm and friendly welcome upon arrival and found that all of the staff I spoke to throughout my stay was really friendly, helpful and very welcoming. It was lovely to come back to after a long day at work and felt like I was coming back home.
My room was just exceptional, spacious and felt really homely. The decor was extremely tasteful and classy. If I hadn’t have needed to go to work meetings I think I might have spent the whole day in the comfort of my room. The bathroom was spotless. You know you are in a nice place when there is a hand lotion dispenser next to the soap dispenser.
The breakfast buffet in the morning was amazing. They even have a waffle machine where you can make your own waffles! There’s only so much food I can eat but I’m sure that if my stomach allowed me to do so I’d have happily sat eating all day because it was all delicious. The seating area was really nice. Even if you decide not to go for the buffet, there are plenty of places in the area to grab a quick coffee or pastry.
I was actually in Belfast for three nights but I had booked my third night at a different hotel. What a big mistake! I should have stayed at Hamptons by Hilton for the whole time. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, whether it’s your first time in Belfast, you’ve been before, you’re on a work visit or you’re just in Belfast for a holiday! It’s like a home away from home!

Just back from a few days at the Hampton by Hilton hotel Belfast. ( staycation) When we arrived there was a bit of a wait in Reception but this is to be expected at this time,(Covid19) location was perfect right beside the Bus and train station, we were given a room on the 6th floor which was wheelchair accessible the window was sealed so could not be opened, The room was big and clean and had an adjoining room, There was a very strong smell of smoke in the room, (we are non smokers) which we reported to the girl on reception, who offered with our permission to come spray the room with air freshener which we declined as i'm allergic to these sprays,we had to put on the air condition to remove the smell,We realised after a few days that the smell was coming through the air vents, maybe management could look into this??. The room won't be cleaned unless you give permission for the staff to enter, but if you ring reception you can arrange for a change of towels, ect.. Breakfast was served in a bag which was either delivered to your room or collected down in the reception, you got a form which you filled in and picked what you wanted for breakfast next morning, and dropped into reception before 11pm. On the 1st morning we got it delivered but found the baps and toasties to be soggie. We collected every other morning and had our lucky bag breakfast in the seating area. Reason I call it a lucky bag is because you never got what you put on the list. The hotel does a platter for 6 pounds. You can only get an alcoholic drink in the hotel when you are buying food. I can't comment on the food as we didnt buy it, any time we were looking to get a drink was before or after dinner. All in all we had a lovely few days and the staff were very friendly and helped us book the trips we went on.

Observations from our stay at Hampton by Hilton:
Rooms sold as family rooms aren’t suitable for more than 2 adults and 1 child. Rooms are tiny, and I mean TINY.
During our time there ( several nights) the breakfast/ restaurant area is not set out within social distancing guidelines. Guests are seated less than a metre from other guests. On several occasions tables were not cleaned between different guests and there was no attempt at social distancing in the food area.
Despite being in and out of the hotel very frequently during day and night we never saw any cleaning of public areas.
The email sent to hotel guests re room arrangements and cleaning etc hasn’t been passed on to staff as they claim to have no knowledge of what’s being sent out. Two mornings we put our bin outside the room to be emptied (as per email) and two evenings it was still sitting there full. The staff did empty them after a phone call to reception but why tell guests to do this when the staff don’t do it??
Apparently not allowed to take glasses from bar to room due to “Covid 19” yet no problem with hotel meals on plates with cutlery etc or a cuppa from breakfast being taken to room......how odd!! Seems like some staff made up their own rules.

The hotel itself was lovely and our room was quite pleasant with the exception of the dirt underneath the bed. Staff however were not helpful we were due to check in at 3pm so we had left our bags which was fine and gone into the city we arrived back to the hotel at 8:30pm and was told our room was not ready. We were not offered a complimentary drink or even a valid explanation. My partner had gone downstairs to speak to someone about giving us a free meal or something along the lines. The woman at reception was not helpful and disregarded him with “cole back tomorrow I can’t do anything” my partner then went down in the morning to speak to Steven the manager on duty and was told we would only get two complimentary drinks!!! Not even an apology. After further discussions with Steven we agreed to get a 20% refund from the hotel. The following day we rang reception to ask for room service they had told us we were booked in for the room to be cleaned at 1pm. Once again we went out at 11:30am and returned at 6pm to find the room the exact way we had left it. Once again no explanation and had to wait another day for it to be cleaned. Overall the hotel itself is lovely and facilities are quite nice but I would not recommend this hotel due to the lack of communication between staff and the disregard they feel for there customers. I definitely wouldn’t stay again.

Thank you so much for reaching out to us regarding your recent stay with us at Hampton by Hilton, Belfast. I am sorry to read that we let you down during your time with us – this is certainly not the level of service that we aim to give our guests when they are staying with us. Please allow me address the points raised in your complaint – I am so sorry for the delay in checking you into your rooms – unfortunately, we are operating through an unexpected spike in occupancy due to staycations in Belfast and with many companies with their teams still on furlough in the North, it has led to delays in having linen delivered to all hotels in the city which regrettably has led to delays for check in. Before the pandemic, we would have been able to check you into the room and advise that the additional linen would be delivered at a later time during the day, but with our new disinfecting procedures and sealing the rooms before a guest enters, we are unable to do this. That being said, the delay is not a great way to start your stay with us, so please accept my apologies for this. The same to be said for the towels – I am so sorry that we had a delay in getting the towels back into stock while you were with us. I would also like to apologise for the issues you had with our staff members throughout your stay. There is no excuse for the poor level of customer service you experienced throughout your stay and for this I am extremely sorry. I hope you will reconsider staying with us in the future, as I can assure you that we are normally much better than this and our staff are our greatest pride. Once again, I am extremely sorry with the poor service you experienced and I can assure that the negative comments surrounding staff attitudes and customer service skills will be investigated and dealt with accordingly. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We hope that despite this you might consider staying with us again in the future or perhaps when things have gone back to a more normal environment, we will see you again then. Best Wishes, Sarah Byrne Front Office Supervisor

My wife & myself stayed here both on our way to R.O.I and on our return. We travelled from Cairnryan to Belfast return. We were traveling by car and found the hotel within 10 minutes of leaving the Stenna ferry using sat-nav by simply inputing the postcode. The hotel is virtually brand new and the rooms well equiped. The beds are larger than normal size both in the twin rooms and double rooms. The beds are very comfortable. Bathrooms are well planned and the showers are of a good size and easily accessable. Wi-fi signal was strong at all times. Super size television. telephones in rooms. Staff on reception very pleasant and offer the traditional freindly Hilton welcome with us receiving speedy check in and out on both occasions. Breakfast is buffet and is very well stocked and offers an excellent choice. Two points that people contemplating booking here must not forget is that parking is available at extra cost but is about 200 metres away from the hotel and there is not any dedicated disabled parking at the hotel. Also there is a massive difference in cost of certain nights depending on how full the hotel is. This is quite normal at hotels but an example is that the prices we paid were £69 for the Thursday Night but £115 for the Saturday night 9 days later. However being realistic I still think that these prices represent very good vale for a Belfast city centre hotel.

Nice hotel with nice in lobby to hangout in.
Disappointed in rooms thought they would be a little more cleaner noticed stains on sheets and pillow cases.
Also the breakfast during our stay disappointing were handed bags with yogurts ceral bars and fruit along with not very tasty vegetable finger baps got no variety or choice when questioned to staff.
Also the parking mentioned to be included but we had 60 pounds extra.
Postitives close to citycentre 10 mins
But for hilton branch should be more high end and alot cleaner with better food choices for vegeterians
Room service is only done when u have requested it at reception
I was disappointed expected much more.

Hello, Thank you so much for your review. It is disappointing to read that you were left unsatisfied with your recent stay at Hampton by Hilton, Belfast. As you can imagine, we have had to bring a lot of changes into effect as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, which is why our breakfast set up and stayover cleaning procedures are a little different. We are now reviewing these new procedures and are making changes accordingly. We appreciate you letting us know where you saw strengths and weaknesses in our changes - these are a great help to our decision making with future changes. Unfortunately, car parking is not included in at our property. This is stated on our website, as well as on all our associative booking sites. Car parking is located and operated at an off-site location next to the hotel by a separate company, however we have brokered a deal with the car park attendants so that guests of our property can enjoy a reduced rate of £10 per 24 hours. We apologise for any confusion surrounding the car parking options at the property. I will pass on your concerns regarding your room cleanliness to our Housekeeping Manager so that he may investigate your concerns. Please accept our apologies for any faults in our service - we will use your criticism to improve our services accordingly. We hope you will consider staying with us at Hampton by Hilton, Belfast again in the future. Hopefully we have a second chance to make lasting and positive impressions. Wishing you all the best, Sarah Byrne Front Office Supervisor

So glad I picked this hotel as a base to stay while with my partner celebrating his birthday on our 1st trip to Belfast. From the minute we arrived to when we checked out nothing was a problem. The staff got us checked in early, Stephen helped us tremendously with our lunch and dinner recommendations, such generous hospitality which made our weekend even more perfect, I even offered to bring Stephen, the acting General Manager home. Very central location, hotel spotless and breakfast was amazing, set you up ready for a great day exploring everything Belfast has to offer.

Good Points
1) Nice Bed (Note this is Two single beds squashed together not a proper king size frame)
2) Nice Touches like HD TV, Couple of Chairs, Tea making facilities, safe etc.
3) Nice initial look to the room and good black out curtains and sound proofing from outside
4) Good Location in Belfast.
Bad Points
1) No Towels in the Bathroom (only Hand Towels). Had to call reception twice and then had to visit receptionist directly only to be told they were too busy with checkins and could not advise when they could supply towels. 2 Hours later finally got the Towels. Dont know why this was not ready when I checked in, paid good money for the room yet failed to do the basics (i.e Towels in the room)
2) Bins and Towels were not replaced after 3 days and had to call reception again to get them to replace/change them. Overheard other guests with the same issue.
3) Never restocked the Toilet Rolls across 4 nights we stayed.
4) Booked up a slot for Breakfast, saw the receptionist write it on the bookings folder, yet the next morning apparently they couldnt find my booking and they were fully booked up (Yet there were loads of Free Tables in the restaurant). Staff apolgised and acknowledge there we alot of new staff who may have made a mistake with my booking.
5) Bed Sheets appeared to be too short for Bed (About 5 inches shorter than the width of the bed)
6) One of the Socket was coming out of the wall, potential hazard waiting to happen.
7) Floor Tiling grouting in Hallway and Bathroom looked very Tired and worn. Expected better from a Hilton Brand.
8) After first night advised by a letter left on Bed that they could not provide evening meals going forward, no explanation as too why.
Overall cant recommend and this experience has put me off using Hilton Brands in future. To many shortcomings and they need to up their game especially with the basics.

Response from HamptonByHilton Belfast, General Manager at Hampton by Hilton Belfast City Centre
Responded Aug 29, 2021
Many thanks for taking the time to leave a review about your stay and apologies in the delay in getting back to you. I am sorry to hear that you had a disappointing experience and that our standards did not live up to your expectations on this occasion. The Hotel has been extremely busy since reopening, many of our staff were just returning from over a year of being furloughed and others have just recently joined our team however, we are very proud of how hard they all worked. We do understand that this is not an excuse for poor service and will be looking at what we can do differently in the future to ensure that our operations run much smoother going forward. Unfortunately, as mentioned, there was a delay with the delivery of our linen during your stay as a result of a machinery fault in the factory which supplies us with our linen and as such, there were knock-on effects here at the property. We can only apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused and hope that you understand, we are doing everything in our power at all times to ensure our guests satisfaction is met. As well as this, the entire hospitality industry has taken a very hard hit due to COVID-19, resulting in knock-on effects through all Hotels. We can only ask for your forgiveness and understanding for delays or slower services, and the card issue mentioned. I do hope you can accept my sincerest apologies at this time for the issues raised. Hopefully you will consider staying with us again in the future so that we can show you we are capable of much better and that your poor experience was truly a one off. Kindest Regards, Sarah Byrne Front Office Supervisor

We did an early trio and had breakfast at 7am.
You can leave the bags with the reception staff.
Didn't use that service. Unable to assist.
