lovely campsite away from the static caravans. Worth the extra few bob from other gower campsites. lovely warm, clean, free showers, quite sheltered tent area. Good location on the beach and located for other gower adventures. one campsite we do keep going back to. there is a cafe on site but we have not used it.

This camp site is in a stunning location right next to the beach and is well equipped with all the basic facilities you would want. I do feel that it is overpriced, but I suppose when you have such great access one of the country's most popular beaches, you can afford to mark your prices up a little. The way... More

Great site - stayed a couple of nights here, reasonable price £12 per night. Nice site, not too crowded. Nice clean facilities with what seemed like limitless hot water. Weather was decent which always helps. Fantastic location for scenery and walks. I went up onto the downs right from the site - initially a steep climb but from there incredible... More

Stayed here this weekend with my partner and friends. From previous reviews I was a little sceptical of what to expect but the staff were fine! On Friday evening the weather was dry so we were having a drink and a chat well into the night. No one batted an eyelid. We made sure we weren't overly loud but it... More

I recently visited this site with my partner and found it to be a warm welcoming place. The staff were super friendly, the location was amazing and the facilities were fantastic! I had never been surfing before and was keen to try. There are various surf schools available to book on site which were fab and I had a brilliant... More

The very first moment we turned up , we're a group of lads with our kids, we got told that this ain't a place for drinking , we were charged £25 pound a night , pretty extortionate considering it's just a field , no wifi or electricity on the site , 12 o clock we were told by one of... More

Went here mid June and it was uncrowded though apparently in high season it is very busy. Staff were chilled out and very helpful but the campsite was pretty empty so they may be less so when it is busy. The local village has a pub and a surf shop and the campsite itself has a shop but its pretty... More

Arrived here midweek with friends to find the campsite fairly empty and quiet. We were lucky to get an electric hookup as at our age (wrong side of 50) we like our creature comforts. It's a bit of a lottery as to whether you get a hookup, there appeared to be only 6 and sadly pre bookings are not accepted.... More

Hill End Campstie is at a perfect location to be able to enjoy the fantastic beach of Llangennith. The shower and toilet facilities are excellent and the camping area is lovely. Really felt safe there. But for £25 a night for a small van is extremely overpriced...They're taking advantage of being the only campsite so close to the beach. The... More

We have visited Hillend many times as we love the location - a short walk through the dunes to a great beach; sand as far as the eye can see. The site itself comprises 4 fields (open according to demand), they are all fairly level. The toilet and shower block is large, modern and clean. Something to bear in mind... More
