This was our third visit to The Alexander and once again it didn't disappoint. We usually book the family room (1 double bed and 2 singles) and it's perfect for what we need. Lovely clean bed linen and plenty of towels. The ensuite is stocked with toiletries, if needed, and there is a good selection of coffee/tea making things in... More

Stayed here with my family the weekend just gone - visiting my brother as he is at Swansea University. Room was fantastic and the breakfast, one of the best I've had. The owners do a fantastic job in looking after their residents - we hope to see you guys soon!!

The Alexander Bed and Breakfast was a wonderful place to stay. The Uplands are near to the beach, the University of Swansea and fairly close to the city centre including Wind Street. A single fare from Wind Street back to the Alexander was not even 7 pounds. The room was large and comfortable with all the amenities I would want... More

Stayed four most comfortable nights to spend part of half term exploring Swansea and seeing my first year uni son. Excellent all round - the friendly staff have made us feel most welcome. We will stay nowhere else when visiting Swansea!

Greeted by friendly lady who was very welcoming. Lovely single room with extra special touches such as cafetiere with real coffee, pot of cotton buds and dressing gown in wardrobe. Working TV and wifi. Clean bathroom, which although not ensuite was just down the corridor and not a shared one. Great cooked choices for breakfast the next morning, and plenty... More

I have stayed 3 times in this hotel over the past year, it is my hotel of choice in Swansea. It is located in Uplands, a vibrant student district with lots of bars, restaurants and shops. The beach is 10 min walk down the road, so are more restaurants (St Helen's road). There are several buses going to the city... More

I stayed here last April and came back when I needed an overnight the day before having an exam last week. A hotel that provides real coffee and cafetiere in the room, plus a towelling robe in the wardrobe is quite unusual in these days of universal cost-cutting. Breakfast is included and excellent. To cap it all, as I was... More

If you are on a budget, want a bed...then the Alexander will probably fit your bill. In all honesty many guests will appreciate the small family nature of the house. Sadly it is really a B&B. If you are offered room 7. Be warned it is a very small box room. The bathroom or toilet is a small walk away... More

Thank you for your review. As stated on your booking form you booked the cheapest and smallest room and the only room that is not en-suite at £38.00. We have far superior en-suite rooms available at various prices. We sell this room for guests who are on a budget!!! Your comment "sadly a B & B" is uncalled for and... More

The gentleman who greeted me on arrival was friendly and advised me on where best to park. The room was very clean and luxuriously furnished. I loved the wine glasses in the room! The room was large with comfy chairs as well as the beds to lounge upon to watch the huge TV! The breakfast was delicious - beautifully cooked... More
