The Old Rectory is the beautiful home of Viv and John, who are very friendly, interesting, and very helpful hosts. The location is perfect for visiting many places. As it is situated on top of a hill the magnificent views from the front are towards the Brecon Beacons and those from the bedroom at the back are towards the North Devon coast. The en-suite bedroom is very large and beautifully kept, as is the rest of the house. Viv makes wonderful breakfasts and very delicious Brownies. Finding somewhere where there is nothing to fault is a very rare thing and The Old Rectory is most definitely faultless.

This was an exceptional place to stay--best of our trip. Owners gave good overview of area, and good directions. Drive for day to Cardiff or even Swansea and Gower Peninsula, or Tintin Abbey. Breakfast is wonderful.

This is a truly outstanding Bed and Breakfast. A warm welcome from charming hosts, a beautiful house, lovely bedrooms and fabulous breakfasts. The attention to detail is quite superb. We were visiting Wales for the Opening Ceremony and first games of the 2013 Rugby League World Cup at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff with two close friends. Not only did John drive us to the pub for an evening meal but he also took us to the railway station in Newport, on Saturday morning, to catch our train into Cardiff. The house is in a charming position above Cardiff Bay. Nearby is a wonderful view of Caerleon and the Welsh Mountains. A truly outstanding place to stay if you are visiting South Wales. You will receive a wonderful welcome from Viv and John.

This is one of the best B&B's we have ever stayed at. Viv and John where excellent hosts and greater us warmly with coffee and tea with stacks when we arrived. A nice touch was the thermos of milk in our room for our tea and coffee. John was great to ensure all of our needs where met, he directed us to the pub across the street for a great dinner.
