Went with idea that we could have a stress free weekend. Well what a silly idea that was. admittedly we did not pay a lot , but we expected better than we got. Sheets were clean. Rest of the room was not . 1 rickety chair. No plug for sink or bath. To cap it all they have a disco... More

The receptionist on arrival was so helpful, informed us of a small problem with our room which was a very small problem but she knocked 20% off our bill. Was so helpful about car parks etc.Comfy bed and pillows.A "priceless" fan was also in the room at with the weather being so hot that was great and very appreciated.

Standard Spoons Thursday curry night. My meal was fine and enjoyable. One of my friends had to ask where his meal was. Clearly some communication issues in the kitchen. Decent selection of ales and first time I've been here since it was a night club. It was quite nice for a Newport pub.

A fantastic venue with great prices and good atmosphere. All spoilt by neanderthal management and bouncers. I could go into detail but when I tried to complain whilst in the establishment, the first person I spoke to blamed the manager. The next person I spoke to blamed the manager - then pointed to the first person I spoke to!!

Visited here again for breakfast. Breakfast is incredible value for money and comes with a free drink. A large breakfast with a drink is around 4.70 which I think is a fantastic price. Food was lovely as always. They also had a huge screen shownig the footie which is fab if you're into it, I'm not but the pub is... More

Good things first, location near station. Being a Wetherspoons means cheap okay food and great beers. Car park opposite cost £7.50 for up to 24 hours, once I paid and got to hotel found in could have paid £3 less by using "Ring Go" telephone parking payment method and using code on card available at reception. Room was clean, powerful... More

Clean, cheap & cheerful. Stayed on Sunday night so quiet. Good value. Would of liked earlier check in by helpful staff stored my bag. Did exactly what said for budget hotel stay. Usually good Wetherspoons breakfast with exceptionally friendly morning staff.

The location is fantastic-about 3 minutes walk from the station. The room was a single but was a pretty good size with a large private bathroom. Everything worked-there was a TV, fan, kettle with tea and coffee, internet and two bottles of water. It also has a lift so getting upstairs with suitcases is not a problem. For £36 for... More
