Visited the Wetherspoon's pub side of the hotel on a Saturday evening and breakfast on Sunday morning as it was convenient to our hotel. We felt that the premises appeared generally uncared for and in need of refurbishment. Tables were sticky and created the impression of being unclean. Service was just about acceptable, although the young lady behind the bar...

A great city centre hotel (in a quiet spot), a nice affordable price. The room was nicely decorated and clean, with good facilities. The staff are warm and friendly too!, it's located right in the heart of the city, close to all you need, the train station is a ten minute walk.

We booked 4 rooms for 1 night. Right opposite the train station. Watched the rugby in Cardiff. Took us 20 minutes with the train to central Cardiff. NCP car park across the road -£10 for 24 hours. Hotel rooms are dated but clean. Kettle in the room. Good value for money.

This hotel is well located near to the railway station. The rooms are adequate but in need of facelift. The shower in particular did not meet my expectations as it had black mould in its base, but it did function OK.

We met a couple here intending to go out to eat on the town centre, but we were really enjoying our night and the staff were great so we decided to eat in the Queens the food was great value, cooked well and with great service. A really nice night out.

Haven't been to Newport on business for a couple of years but this hotel is as good as ever. Price is good value for money and it's conveniently attached to a Wetherspoons pub. Friendly greeting and easy checkin from staff. There's a great curry house 30 seconds walk away Will stop here again when I'm there.

Good size Weatherspoon pub on two floors, two bars, with tables that offers privacy, sofas and many wide screen tv featuring sports. The design is warm and welcoming, guests having a wide choice of sitting areas. Great for families or groups of friends out for a drink. Service was good, food served reasonably fast and general appearance is of a...
