I have really enjoyed my stay here. Staff on the hotel reception very friendly lovely and helpfull. The room I stayed in was a bit small I booked a double and it was very basic. Lovely clean hotel. It would have been nice to be able to open windows. These were locked shut. Also a bed side lighting would have...

I've stayed here many times as I do at most weatherspoons what with work. This hotel needs a make over and bringing up to scratch with the rest of the hotels. The rooms smell of drains and are freezing in winter! Hotel is clean and staff are helpful and this won't put me off coming back. I just think the...

Single glazing. town centre, and above a pub. 10pm all I can hear is drunk people screaming and shouting outside (single glazing), cars doing donuts (i kid you not), and if that wasn't bad enough - the walls are paper thin and I can hear every word 'neighbour' shouts and screams at his 'bird'. Never again.

Not stayed in hotel yet, but have had meals at the weatherspoons down stair, here with 20 odd staff members at our Christmas meal, came on a Tuesday for the steak deal, turns out the venue "didn't have the food delivery turn up" on the Monday...even though they had a delivery on the Sunday not the Monday due to Christmas...

Thank you for taking the time to report this to us. Firstly I would like to apologise for the poor service you received. Can be noisy at weekends but even then it can't spoil the rest of the plus factors. Good size bathroom, comfortable bed with extra pillows. Have stayed in their single, double and family rooms at various times and can't fault any of them. Windows open, radiators work, tea, coffee, milk, sugar PLUS complimentary bottles of water and biscuits in every...

A good quality Wetherspoons hotel in the centre of Newport close to the Railway Station and local buses. My room was clean with a comfortable bed and ample supplies of tea coffee biscuits and water. En suite facilities including the shower worked well. Unfortunately as it was just before the hotel was very busy and I was unable to get...

On arrival the staff were far from helpful when asked about parking, weren't allowed to check in until 2 when we got there at 2 and made us wait for ten minutes, pathetic, not even any toilet roll in the room. The 9 o'clock wake up call by a fire alarm test after a night out wasn't very pleasant and...

Just spent 3 nights at the Queens hotel. Old fashioned building, old fashioned rooms with new fashioned staff. Comfy bed, duvet and pillows. Plenty TV Channels. Kettle, tea bags, coffee and biscuits left each day in room. Great shower and plenty of hot water. Lovely front desk staff, Cathy, Raeall (Madrid) and Caroline, attend to every request. Does what it...

The hotel is a very quirky building, winding corridors and lots of history. The area will be busy around Wednesday's (student night) and the weekends as the hotel is above a Wetherspoons Lloyds Bar. Room was very comfortable and clean and the hotel is in a great area, 2 minute walk from the train station so easy access to London,...
