Myself & 3 friends stayed here as we were going out In Cardiff for my friends bday. We stayed at this guest house many years ago & found it nice so gathered it would be OK this time round. Unfortunately we found the guesthouse to be very run down. When we arrived they didn't even have record of our deposits... More

My work takes me around the world and I've stayed at inns, motels, guest houses, hotels, you name it. When my work takes me to Cardiff my home away from home is always here at Park Lane Guest House. The rooms, and the service are wonderful. The manager Suzann has always taken wonderful care of me and when I leave... More

I made the mistake to give them my creditcardnumber and personal code over the phone (how stupid!!, so maybe I've deserved it?) So they took the opportunity and collected double the invoice amount from my account. Luckily my payment was insured, so they didn't get away with it. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just stayed with 3 others mates for weekend of rugby world cup quarter finals. Meeted and greeted by a very friendly, courtious lady who showed us to our rooms. The room was a family size, 3 singles, 1 double and a put me up if needed. it had an en-suite bathroom and a further shared bathroom right outside our door.... More

Pros- good location and comfy bed We ended up being charged twice as much as we'd agreed, as the lady that made the booking told us it was £55 for a room and not £55pp. Honestly, I wouldn't be happy to pay £55 for the room, nevermind per person. It was sort of clean , but had no toiletries, two... More

I've read the previous reviews for this B&B and I have to say that most of them are in "black and white" colours. I'll try to provide a useful summary: Negative features: - they indeed ask for credit card details on the phone prior to arrival (this makes me feel somewhat uncomfortable) - the house is noisy if there are... Do not even think of staying here if you're going to Cardiff. They'll ask for card details over the phone and debit money from your account before you actually arrive. The people that run this so called business are thieves/scam artists/criminals. I'm currently raising a dispute to retrieve funds that were unlawfully debited from my account and will also be... Arrived on Saturday 30th nov. Cost £120 for a box of a room for 2 people. Communal bathroom. As everyone started getting up at around 7am would here everything such as doors closing, people going to toilet and walking around. Not great for a Sunday morning when all you want to do is sleep. Not had breakfast yet but an... More
