We stayed on Sunday 29th November for one night, Dinner with a bottle of wine & Full English breakfast. The Evening meal was lovely good quality and very tasty 3 couses we were stuffed, the staff were very helpful and did not rush us at all and the Restaurant was Covid friendly. The young lady on reception was very helpful and polite. The car park is small but we were able to park if it was busy you may have to us the NCP around the corner. There are sanatisers dotted all over and everybody was wearing masks in communal areas and in the lifts (Only 2 persons at a time) the whole thing worked well. The room was very big & clean and the bed was very large & comfy. You have to set the room temp for yourself very simple, ask for two room cards so you can leave one in the heating to keep it warm. The shops are a few minutes walk away so park up walk and enjoy the City. There was a family in the bar area who let there children run around the bar/ restaurant area, stand on the table and sofas no regard to anybody else which was a shame. Remember that dur to Covid a lot of accesories are removed throws cushions instructions.

Me and my friend booked afternoon tea on Saturday 28th at 4pm. We were very disappointed with the service we received (or didn't i should say). We were given the sandwich and cake stand, tea and prosecco after 45 min of arrival and then did not see anyone after it was sent to our table. No one asked if everything was OK and if we needed more drinks. The afternoon tea was of very poor quality and infact we couldn't eat the scones as they were so hard and dry. For a 4 star hotel i expected more. Save your money and time.....do not bother

I do sincerely apologise for where we have failed you and fallen far short of your expectations. I will be looking into the matters raised to ensure we do not have any similar occurrences of the same nature, in order to improve the service we are providing. It is disappointing to see that on this occasion we have gotten it so wrong, for this I would like to say once again I am sorry. I am available to discuss this further should you wish to contact me. My email is H6622-OM@accor.com With regards, Wael Elassal General Manager

Where do I begin. The room was Baltic. Me and my sister literally wore coats to bed and had the hairdryer blowing under the rotten sheets giving us 3 degree burns. The beds were like rocks - would have probably had a better night sleep outside in a cardboard box. We sucked it up and tried to order room service the second night, there were no menus in the room so we rang down for them to tell us to collect a menu from the restaurant (defeating the object of ROOM SERVICE). I then went down to the restaurant to be ignored by the man behind the bar (he could clearly see us waiting). Another member of staff walked past so I asked politely if I can get a menu for room service, She greeted me with a filthy look and told they do not do room service. I walked back up rang reception for a gentleman to then tell me yes they do room service!!!!! He apologised and said he’ll send a menu through the door. After 30 minutes of waiting he sent a dirty piece of paper under the door without even knocking. We decided what we wanted and called the number to order. I was on the phone for half an hour with it ringing out and no one picking up. No apology. We then ordered Uber eats, thankfully as I dread to think how long the food would have taken to arrive. The whole ordeal lasted over 2 hours. We did not get any fresh towels or any sort of house keeping for the whole 4 days. The room looked like a crack den. We asked about towels and was told we had to come down to reception to get towels. For a 4 star hotel I can honestly say the staff and customer service is an absolute shambles and I will not be staying at this hotel again. I would like to say thank you to the spa ladies- the only decent part of the stay as we had wonderful massages!

Me and my sister stayed In this hotel for the 3 nights and 4 days. We did not receive housekeeping once. We had to use dirty towels all weekend. We asked the reception and they told us housekeeping would bring them. Despite being out of the room everyone of the days we did not get housekeeping therefore had dirty linen and towels and did not have the room cleaned once over the weekend. The room was FREEZING, the heating did not work in the rooms and was not turned on before we got in there. There were not radiators just a vent which let out small amounts of warm air. We were cold all weekend. The first night we stayed there we wanted room service so we rang the room service number and asked for a menu and they told us we had to go to the restaurant as “the menu changes everyday” (even though the point of room service is so you don’t have to leave your room). Nevertheless, we went down to the restaurant and waited by the sign to be seated for half an hour getting ignored by the waiting staff despite the restaurant being quiet. Another member of staff then walked by so we questioned about a room service menu and got told that the hotel doesn’t do room service. Getting told different things by different members of staff was frustrating. We then went back to our hotel room and rang the reception and queried this. They then said they’d bring us up a menu. 40 minutes later we had a room service menu shoved underneath our door. They couldn’t even knock. The menu was boring and overpriced but we were very hungry. So we rang the room service number 3 times and they didn’t answer. We then called the reception and they also didn’t answer. Defeated we ordered off Uber eats. Considering we had complained before even arriving to the hotel (due to the fact that we called the hotel everyday two weeks before our stay and they didn’t answer but we needed to make a change to our booking, they only got in touch after we sent a complaint form (bearing in mind we emailed them, called both reception and spa number and even messaged their social media page)) they were not bothered the staff were rude and not attentive. They don’t seem to be trained as they all were saying different things! Also the hotel rooms do not look anything like the pictures, you don’t get blankets (which are needed in the FREEZING rooms) you don’t get cushions in the bed you just get a rock hard bed and rock hard pillows. Considering this is a 4 star hotel I expected a lot more. The only good thing about the hotel was the spa, we booked for massages and the 2 lady’s were lovely I can’t remember their names, I think one might’ve been called fleur I’m not too sure. It is also very close to the city. Honestly a premier inn for half the price would be a lot better, at least it’s warm and has a comfy bed!

Stayed here over night with my Wife on 19th Nov 2020, room was exceptional standard. Lovely view across Cardiff. Room was very modern and clean, beautiful bath and shower facilities. Hotel done very well adhering to social distancing measures and was managed fantastically by the staff. We were checked in by Adam, he was very polite and helpful with possible places for food in the city centre. The staff were very helpful and could not do enough for us. We used the swimming pool and spa facilities, which again were very clean and tidy. Lots of focus on social distancing so felt safe at all times. I would 100% return without a doubt.
