Stayed for a week on business. Arrived on a Saturday night and the noise from the function suite was terrible. Earplugs helped the audible but the bed was actually vibrating from the bass of the music. My room was average standard fare. No soft pillows but I left a note for housekeeping who organised the next day. Everything there just... More

This is obviously a busy, well used hotel but is looking tired and worn. Strange smell in corridors, carpets very worn and not worth the price they are charging. The lever for the plug in the bathroom sink was broken and water would not drain away, although we reported it no one came to fix it so had to use... More

Nice, big room with a comfy bed. Had a great view of the river and Cardiff City Stadium (off in the distance) from our window. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. We especially loved being so close to Cardiff Castle and the city center. Would stay here again without hesitation.

Stayed here for a week while on a course at the National College of Music. Was a great location on the main road into town, with a car park. Across the road was Bute Park and Cardiff Castle. My room had a great view of the rugby stadium. Room clean if not a little tired but as you would expect... More

Really old building, old furniture, stinky corridor, tired carpet. Unfortunately the only good thing in this hotel the water pressure. As a couple we got a twin room. The wifi signal was poor and we could use only 2 devices.

Great location in central Cardiff, easy walk from the railway and to all the main attractions. Room was a bit pokey but had all the standard features you'd expect from this chain. The night I stayed here (and paid £200 for the pleasure!) there was a wedding function being held in the hotel and the loud, pulsating bass of the... More

Hotel in good position for central Cardiff. Lift very tight for wheelchair users. Rooms with overhead hoists available, but make sure the hoist is charged! Rooms are clean and functional. Don't take room service breakfast. Restaurant food okay. Parking very close by. Reception staff helpful. Pleasant bar staff.

Stayed here on a night out in Cardiff. Great location, parking 24 hours £10. Helpful staff, good clean rooms, a relaxing bar and restaurant and the city right outside the door. Definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed in Cardiff for three days. The hotel location is great at 5' from the city shopping center and almost in front of the Cardiff Castle.Staff at reception efficient but not friendly. The point is that the hotel rooms are old and require some restructuring. Same for the room toilets. Overall a guest gets a negative impression and it... More

Ideal location for Cardiff City Centre, visiting Cardiff Castle and the reason why we stayed walking through Bute Park (opposite) to the SWALEC Stadium for a cricket match. Room very comfortable, although a little small for an Executive Room. Bathroom tiny but adequate. Only thing you seem to get extra for your Executive Room is a bathrobe and 2 bottles... More
